get in vehicle turn key on with new key fob in car, let run for 20 or so then turn off . hit the unlock button it should be programmed but not promising anything lol
To enter programming mode
Press the Program button on the back of the remote or hold the
four remote control buttons on the front of the remote simultaneously
until one long beep is heard. Programming Mode has now
been entered.
Beep/Vibrate Mode
Within five seconds of entering Programming Mode, press Lock.
The remote control will beep once for on, twice for off. The
vibrate icon (13) will also turn on/off with each press.
Here's the owners manual for that system: http://www.directeddealers.com/manuals/og/viper/G5301V_05-06post.pdf
remote programming starts on page 15.
Try this first, unplug the 2-way antenna on your windshield. Let it sit for at least a few minutes. Try recoding the remotes after you replug the antenna back in. This is an issue i have seen on some of the Viper units. Usually they never have issues, but here and there they need reset.
The Viper alarms will accept (if I remember correctly), 4 codes at one time. That is, 4 individual remotes, or two remotes two times, or one remote 4 times. So, if you program your remote 4 times, it will essentially remove any previously programmed remotes. Another option, and you'll have to check with your dealer, but I think there is a way to delete ALL remotes, and then program your remaining remote one time, and again, all previously programmed remotes are now removed from memory. This was done by the manufacturer just for such events.
