My wa10v9 washing machine starts to drain the water without stopping as soon as I switch it on

This can happen when the drain hose is positioned too low relative to the tub of the washer. The siphon action will continue unless the end of the drain hose is higher than the water level of the washer. Take the drain hose out of the stand pipe or sink and check where the hose needs to be to stay above the washer tub. You might need to increase the height of the stand pipe or make sure that the hose doesn't get past a specific depth in the sink/stand pipe.

I hope this helps. If you need to raise the stand pipe, just glue a coupler and a length piece of PVC of the appropriate diameter to the current top of the stand pipe. (Use PVC cleaner and glue following the package directions.) The drain pump on most washers can push the water up 6-8' high. Thus you probably won't cause the pump to fail by lengthening the stand pipe.

(I know I've had issues with someone accidentally pushing the drain hose deeper into the stand pipe. I added a zip tie to make it a little harder for someone to shift the pipe.)

The washer smells funny. Like mildew or something. No water standing. Seems to drain.

Probably has some standing water in the pump hoses as well as the drain hoses If you do not use the machine often, then some water is left in the drain hoses and upon evaporation it may do what you smell. Pour some bleach in the tub, with water and let stand for 15 min. put it on rinse and let drain and do the smell test again.

I have standing water in my dishwasher. How do I unclog the drain?

It will be smelly water and if you have access to a shop vac that will help you remove the standing water if not use a bowl or turkey blaster listed below.
Use a small bowl to remove standing water from washer to access screen to remove and check for blockage. Once you have removed all the water that you can with a bowl or cup. You can use a turkey blaster to sucton remaining water from dishwasher.
Then you remove screen and clean out drain and also check drain line for blockage from dishwasher to under sink.

Clean out drain to unclog in bottom of dishwasher and you may have to remove drain line to clean it.

LSR8233JQ0Washer won't fill

The water is syphoning out the drain hose.
Many times when the stand pipe is backing up someone will seal the washer drain hose to the pipe to avoid overflow of the stand pipe.
This causes the water to syphon from the washer.

Or the opening for the stand pipe is just big enough to put the drain hose in and is to tight causing the syphon.

Putting the drain hose to far down the pipe can cause a syphon also.

Washer will only fill halfway

hello, 1 possable problem a pretty common problem and the solution is blindingly simple. It’s caused by the drain hose siphoning water out of the washer tub. There are two common causes for siphoning and I’ll explain both of them below.

drain-min.jpgOne cause for siphoning is simply that the drain hose discharge is below the fill level of the washer tub. This picture shows the minimum drain height needed to avoid siphoning.
Another common cause for siphoning is not having an air break between the drain hose and the drain stand pipe. Usually, this isn’t a problem since the drain hose diameter is usually much smaller than the diameter of the drain stand pipe. But sometimes folks will inadvertently remove the air break by duct taping the drain hose to the stand pipe. They might do this because the drain hose keeps popping out of the stand pipe when the washer pumps out the tub. Other times, the drain hose might fit into the stand pipe with a tight interference fit.also check your water inlet valve filter/screen make sure its not clogged.

Dble sink, one with the garbage disp. won't drain standing water

It's a drain clog within the disposal. Try a drain cleaner, if no luck, you will likely need to replace it.
