Site in at 30 yards and you should be dead on. Has to do with the arc of the bullet.

My powermate 3500 generates 157 volts on all 120 outlets and 308 volts on the 220 outlet. What could cause that to happen. I've heard of generators not delivering enough voltage but never heard of one over...

the governor is not set properly, good job catching this issue. also check it under a load, if you still find the voltages too high, I recommend having it serviced.
setting the governor can be tricky.make sure you mark the shaft.

What is the best load for your 168gr classic hunter in 308 win

Assuming that your Ruger has a potential for better accuracy (some guns just wont shoot any better than that) you'll have to work up a special load for the Ruger that will shoot more accurately.. What's good for one gun isn't necessarily good for another.. Also, in my experience, the Ruger M77 hasn't shown me much for good accuracy... I've seen some Brownings, though, that shoot very, very good...

What is the diff ratios on the diesel and petrol Units. I an thinking of converting a petrol powered unit to diesel powered.

there is no differance a diesel has a high stall torque converter in 1990 you could get 308 ,327,373 410 gears the 308 are a desert gear meaning great gas mileage 410 the motor will turn at high RPM's But you don't have to do anything it is perfectly ok hope this helps CJ

You have a high touge engine so the recomendations are generally for cars that are driven weekly at least. I would change these within ten years apart for they do age from heat
