I could not find the screw size. However I found a link to a genuine screw, USD 2.50 per. Confirmed that your model number is in the "Found in Models" dropdown.
I would suggest to resetting the camera. Each camera has a different procedure, but most cameras can be reset by removing the batteries for several minutes then replacing them and turning the camera back on. If that doesn't work, then read in your manual under "reset" or "initialize" camera.
Or you need to download the driver of the camera again...
while the camera is connected to the computer does it show up in My Computer? If it does then you can go into the folders and get your pictures and copy and past them where you want them.
I'm sorry but you can't. There is no function on the camera to stream video. Also, the camera goes into standby mode after 30 seconds (by default). And 3 minutes after that, it shuts off completely. It does that to save batteries. Again. I'm sorry. Good webcams average between $20. to $50. usd and they are made to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week and not shut off automatically.
Even though the solution was not what you prpbably wanted, don't let it stop you from rating it a fixya. I would appreciate it. Let me know if I can help you with anything else, and thanks for coming to FixYa.
Its a common problom, the battery compartment manufacturer labeled the circuits wrong, now ya fried it. Go to www.NikonUSA.com, and search for the L16 and see what im talking about. Its a free repair, but it will leave you w/o a camera for abit.
Support on Windows ME for USB is poor. Your best shot is to go to the setup menu on the camera and select USB and then make sure it's set to "Mass Storage" and not "PTP". Then connect the camera.
i recently bought my cool pix l16 camera and when i took a pic my flash lamp kept blinking red and when i pressed the flash button my camera wouldnt flash
