After a 2 1/2 hour power failure and opening the garage door with the battery there is a 4-2 error code. How do I clear it? Nothing is wrong with the door, it works perfect except for the error codes.

The 4-2 error code on a garage door opener typically indicates a problem with the safety sensors. These sensors are designed to prevent the door from closing if there is an obstacle in the way. If the sensors are not functioning properly, the door may not close, or it may close and then immediately re-open.

To clear the 4-2 error code and reset the garage door opener, you can try the following steps:

Check the sensors: Make sure that the sensors are properly aligned and not blocked by debris or other objects.

Check the wiring: Make sure that the wiring to and from the sensors is secure and not damaged.

Check for loose or damaged components: Make sure that all of the components in the safety sensor system are properly installed and not damaged.

Reset the opener: You can reset the garage door opener by unplugging it from the power outlet and then plugging it back in. This will reset the opener and may clear the error code.

If you are unable to clear the error code with these steps, it may be best to seek the help of a professional garage door technician. They will be able to diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate repair.

Have a easylift mark 2 garage door motor. What settings are the k1,k2,k3 and k4 to set the limits and remotes

I think the K settings are for the frequency that the remote and the receiver work on. If the opener is set at K2, the remote has to be set at K2. This is done by looking inside the remote for the K switches, and making sure it matches the opener. You can change these settings if other signals seem to operate your door opener.

Garage door opener motor doesn't work.

2 flashes is a safety eye issue, but you problen is most likely that the chain is not sync with the limit setting. Take the bottom off the gear and sprocket assemble and rotate center limit srew until it is in the same position as the trolley.

Garage door opener motor will not open garage door

It sounds like you did a really good job! My Craftsman 1/2 hp gar. dr. opener has a red reset button on it on the l/h side as you are looking at the light/motor from the garage door opening. You have to take the light cover off to be able to see it. My reset button is on the same side as the ground wire. You might check the ground wire while you're there. I really hope that this fixes it for you (and me). I'm quite sure it will as you know your way around the garage door opener already. Good Luck and Let me Know (Please) if it fixed it or not. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. Have a Good Day!

Garage door won't close.

After replacing the worm gear and main drive gear on my Craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener I found that my door moved about 4 inches stopped and reversed the same distance. I checked all the settings and everything seems OK. What fixed the problem was I released the two allen set screws on the end of the motor shaft and pulled tha motor shaft toward me. When I replaced the black plastic cap that looks like a pill cap top on the end of the shaft this corrected the depth setting that cap rotated through the RPM sensor. I set the limit settings (up and down) on the side of the opener and reset the force pots marked (KC) to mid range.
the door now works. I hope this helps. I also checked and eliminated the door sensors by putting a box in the beem this inhibited any movemnet at all, so I knew it wasn't the door sensors as there was at least 4 incheds of movement prior to the box and nothing with the box.
