What to about Message: "close the door", but door is closed and locked. Disconnecting power does not reset.

either the lock activators do not work, maybe the handset battery is dead? There is a small lock-activation motor in each door which opens and closes using the "lock" and "unlock" buttons on the handset, but if the circuit to the lock actuator is broken the motor will not work. Try disconnecting the battery under the hood. After disconnecting one post, wait 4 or 5 min and re-attach the battery cable and tighten...this will reset the auto's computer. Maybe that will work.

Based off the information you have provided the oven door on your Frigidaire range is locked and will not close. You can press and hold the cancel button down for at least 15 seconds. If that does not work, you can perform a reset on your range by disconnecting the power from it for at least ten minutes. If you continue to experience issues with the range please comment back. Your missing it's electronically controlled by computers , the driver & passenger & sliding door control modules . Do yourself a favor an take it to a qualified repair shop that knows how it works .

You can perform a reset on your appliance which can be done by disconnecting power from your appliance for roughly ten minutes. If your control panel has a cancel button hold that down and that should release the door. E44 - It means "Door closure sensing circuit faulty".
Replace the circuit board and restart the diagnostic cycle to check further alarm condition.
When the washing programme is started by pressing the START/PAUSE button, the bi-metal PTC (contacts 3-5 on door interlock device, no.3 on electrical diagram) is powered by the triac (DOOR TY) on the PCB: after 2 - 4 seconds, this closes the switch (5-4) which powers the electrical components of the appliance (only if the door is closed). The door interlock prevents aperture of the door while the appliance is in operation.
Microprocessor recognize closure position by sensing circuit connected to J2-1 on electronic board.
At the end of the washing programme, the PCB disconnects the interlock from the power supply, but the door remains locked for 1 to 2 minutes (PTC cooling time).

yes this does happen,try disconnecting the battery and joining the leads together ,this often resets it other than that its either a new drivers door lock or the dealers to have it re programmed

If the door is closed, then the Door Lock micro switch may need replacing.


The switch can be tested by a technician bypassing it or reading impedance to see if micro switch is opening and closing.


Try first disconnecting power for a couple of minutes to reset the control board.

Your motor may be working too hard anad ripping the reset button on the garage door,
Try increasing the power on the unit ( should be some type of dial.) or the door may be jamming up somewhere, Try disconnecting the opener from the door and see if it goes up easily, the door might need service

push on the door where the lock is... it may not be fully locked.

Instructions:
Opening the key storage
compartment door
1. Open shutter door to reveal the dials
and the release button
2. Rotate dials to the current combination
(if the lock is new, the combination is set
at the factory to 0-0-0-0)
3. Press down on the release button
to open the door
4. Pull the door fully open
5. Add or remove keys
6. Close compartment door
7. Scramble the combination dials to lock
the door and conceal your combination (A)
8. Close the shutter door (B)
To set a new combination:
The initial combination is set at the
factory to 0-0-0-0
1. Open the compartment door
(see instructions above)
2. Push the reset lever left and down.
The lever remains in this position
3. Rotate dials to your desired combination
4. Push the reset lever, up and right, back
to the original position
5. Close the key storage compartment door
6. Scramble the combination dials to lock
the door and conceal your combination (A)
7. Close the shutter door (B)
To hang shackle model
1. Open the compartment door
(see instructions above)
2. Push the shackle release lever to the left
to open shackle
3. Pull the shackle up and out of the lock
4. Place shackle around door knob or other object
5. Close shackle to lock
6. Close the compartment door
7. Scramble the combination dials to lock
the door and conceal your combination (A)
8. Close the shutter door (B)
Reminder:
(A) The release button will open the lock
until you scramble the dials
(B) Keep the shutter door closed to increase
weather resistance and to conceal the
dials from view
