Always shows "Printer offline" status (Mac OSX)

The printer "says" to be offline and won't print. Cables are working (tried on another CLP-325). Already tried to change its status from the Preferences panel, but it seems to lack any "use offline/online" option, only the "sharing on network" one is present and the trick on that one isn't working. The computer is running Mac OSX 10.9.2)

SOURCE: Samsung CLP-300 printer is not recognized on any

If you have the green light and test prints OK, check the condition of the USB connector in the back of the printer. The pins inside get damaged by being too close to the wall or something like that, broken connections to the logic pcb, You can solder a new connector on if that's the problem, otherwise you may need a new circuit board.

Hi,

you may want to run a repair on the printer driver. by going to windows START -> all programs -> Samsung CLP 310 -> Maintenece - > repair and follow the onscreen next till finish.

this could help some time when you swap USB cable or port or PCA main been replace or updated.

SOURCE: Hello. My husband and

Hi Dina,

Is the printer directly connected to your husband's computer?

If so your husband's computer MUST be switched on AND connected to the network. Depending on your settings your husband's computer may have to be logged in, for it to be 'connected to the network'

Also power saving could be causing you problems. I.e. your husbands machine may be going into 'sleep' mode when not in use. You can adjust the 'power saving' options from control panel (on your husband's machine) to prevent the computer going off-network and therefore setting your printer 'off-line'

Hope this helps.

Please take the time to rate this answer. Many Thanks Don.

Printer problem with OS X 10.9 Mavericks

THE SAMSUNG CLP-310 is fully supported by Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks. The printer driver (like all nowadays) is supplied by Apple not the manufacturer. If you installed drivers/software from a disk, you need to put that disk back in and run the uninstaller. Be sure the printer is removed from the printer list in the Printing system prerefernce pane and then unplug and replug in the printer. If it does not show up automatically you may need to add it manually in the system preferences window (no big deal.)

Cannot find driver/software for my dusty Canon imageCLASS MF3240 on mac OS 10.7 Lion?

There is no driver for your printer to work with OSX. It was for Windows OS only. AND Apple does not support this particular model either.Link below list support printers by Apple OSX>

Is there a printer driver for a Dell 5110cn colour printer for the mac OSX snow leopard

Delete your old Dell printer in the Print & Fax System Preferences panel. Install a new printer, but select the Mac-installed Samsung CLP-770 Series PS, and presto! You are back in business, complete with duplex printing and toner supply levels. Sweet!

Hp 5400 printer continuously shows as offline

If you are one a Mac, I may be able to help, as this happens to me. Sometimes when I send a print job, the printer shows as offline. HP recommends turning the printer off and then back on, but this did not always correct the problem. Go the the Printer Queue, click on the print job and then click on Pause Printer. Count to 10, then click on Resume. This fixes the problem for me and the printer then prints the job. I am running OS X 10.5.7. This same problem occurred using OSX 10.4.x

CLP-550N problem with MacOS 10.4.7

Don't know if this would work:

from: http://www.macintouch.com/tigerreview/incompatibility.html

"I have one and have just finished preliminary testing. I have a CLP-550N and use the network port to connect the printer to our wired network. Using Bonjour (a.k.a. Rendezvous) does not work. I can successfully setup the printer, but it will not print. LPD, however, does work fine. You may need to reinstall the PPD files from the CD, or download them from there (sic) website." Brad Scheider reports: "Samsung no longer supports a CLP-500 driver. But I've found that the CLP-510 Driver works in Tiger and fixes many problems I had with the CLP-500 driver on Panther. Works great now."
