SOURCE: Miele washing machine model W713 front load - issues

If it is leaking from the waste pump area it may be blocked by a small piece of clothing like a sock or something similar! This will also cause it to take too long to complete a cycle. Remove the rubber hose onto the waste pump and check inside the hose and the pump, make sure the pump spins freely and that nothing is stuck in the hose pipes leading to the pump

SOURCE: LG WM1814CW - Water/soap Leaking Under Washing Machine onto Floor

Here is the answer !!! My LG front loader has leaked once a year for the past 4 years. The rubber bellows (a part underneath the washer) cracks and causes the leak. DO NOT LET THEM TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE USING TOO MUCH DETERGENT ... THAT JUST AN EXCUSE !!! The part costs around $12. Here's the link ...

SOURCE: washer won't start up

You could have a bad timer, but most commonly the problem is a much simpler on. A washer that fills and doesn't do anything, or stops right after the wash cycle and then does not advance to the rinse cycle and drain is commonly caused by a lid switch malfunction. The lid switch is usually mounted under the washer top casing, on the right hand side on most top load models. It is activated by a plastic piece on the lid (called a "Lid Strike") through a small hole on the rim of the wash tub opening. In many cases the lid strike breaks off the lid, or the lid switch becomes loose and no longer makes contact. Inspect the lid to make sure the lid strike is still intact, and then inspect the mounting screws (adjacent to the small opening on the wash tub rim) and make sure they are snug. If you determine the switch to be defective, the following link explains how to replace one:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385198-replacing_lid_switch

If the switch requires replacement, a new one can be purchased on line at searspartsdirect.com, pcappliancerepair.com, repairclinic.com, appliancepartspros.com. Just use your model number as your search criteria. All these sites offer competitive pricing, so shop all them for the best price. If you still need assistance, please contact me and let me know. We have a 2012 Kenmore front load washer. Model 4904. On a normal cycle it will stall out with 2 minutes left in the cycle. The only cycle that it will completely finish is on delicate.

There could be several reasons why this is happening. One possibility is that the timer or water line valve is faulty, which is causing the washer to stop mid-cycle. Another possibility is that the lid switch assembly has malfunctioned, which prevents the washer from spinning when the lid is open . I would recommend checking these components and their connections to see if they are functioning correctly. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, it's best to contact a professional appliance repairman to diagnose and fix the issue

Kenmore 80 series Model 110.28812790 - water leak inside tub

It's quite possible. First see the Sears parts list for your washer with diagrams of all major parts.

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?modelNumber=+110.28812790&pathTaken=partSearch

Then see the Whirlpool / Kenmore Service manual for these washers and check the troubleshooting section.

I have a 21 year old Kenmore washing maching (model 82873800). It is leaking when it is filling up. The water is not coming from the hoses or the center shaft. When I lean the washer over, I can reach...

I'd go to the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?pop=true&modelNumber=110.82873800%29

and check the sub-components lists for a gasket or part under the tub that keeps the water from leaking.

With a 21 year old washer, it's likely that one of the rubber or plastic gaskets has finally worn.

Leaking about 4 to 5 cups of water under washer on floor washer is about 17 years old model no. 110. 82872820

If the leak is in the middle toward the front it is probably the pump. The impeller can wear through the housing and create a leak. It can be changed quite simply, if you have the tools, I have the instructions. You'll have to remove the case. Let me know.

Water leaking inside the refrigerator

Hi

Most times this is a plugged defrost drain system. The defrost heater in the freezer section melts the frost and changes it to water, this water is suppose to flow down a drain system. If this drain system is restricted or plugged the water will leak inside the refrigerator. The drain system starts in the freezer section with a tray built under the evaporator coil. The water is funneled through a small hose into a cup in the top middle of the fresh food section ( not on all models, but this is the most common way ), from there, the water is directed out the back wall to a drain hose that runs down the back of the refrigerator into a condensing tray. The heat created under the fridge makes the water evaporate and disappear. Some of the cups ( in the top back of the fresh food section ) can be removed for cleaning. A turkey baster can be used to help clean out the drain system. Fill the baster with hot water and "blast" it into the drain hose to help flush it out. A piece of wire or pipe cleaner can also be pushed into the drain hoses to help clean then out. On a S x S style of fridge the drain system is in the bottom back of the freezer section and often you will have to remove the evaporator cover to access the drain hole. You can clean this out in the same manner as previously mentioned, but because of the water leaking into the freezer instead of the fresh food section you will have to remove the ice build up to clean out the drain system. For some reason Whirlpool has found a need to "hide" the drain hose inside the walls now ( Whirlpool makes many of the Kenmore branded refrigerators ) on there top freezer refrigerators. This makes accessing the drain hose to flush it out more difficult, no cup inside the fresh food section, no hose down the outside back wall and the only access is inside the freezer section behind the back false wall and under the evaporator coils.

Please do rate the solution as FixYa if found useful and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Washer Leaking from left front...

That would be your drain pump and/or drain hoses. You will need to access the inside of the washer by removing the outside casing to get a good view. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r397092-replacing_water_pump

The link explains how to replace the pump. Although you may not have a bad pump, it gives all the steps necessary to disassemble the washer to get to it. I would recommend you fill the tub about a third of the way then shut the washer off. This will fill the tub enough to determine where the leak may be coming from. Check both drain hoses for cracks or splits and make sure the clamps are tight. If the pump is leaking, it is NOT repairable. These are sealed units and will require replacing if damaged. You can purchase a new pump (if needed) at repairclinic.com. Just type in your complete model number and the pump should be listed as item number 3296 (part number 3363394).

This a simple job that requires not special tools to accomplish. I hope you find this information helpful.
