What must i change to get a clear copy because when i copy a single page except from what i copyed the rest of the page comes out black.This is happening only on copy mode not fax mode.Thanx a lot

When the blue color ink is finished it may print magenta instead of blue. And it is clear that black,yellow,red colors are there.

UNPLUG THE PRINTER AND USE Q-TIPS AND RUBBING ALCOHOL TO CLEAN THE ROLLERS AND THE TRACK INSIDE OF PRINTER.THEN PLUG BACK IN AND SHOULD CLEAR UP THE PROBLEM.

Open up the document feeder. You will probably find wite-out on the scanner glass.

if it's one original making 20 copies and doing the problem then you have a problem with the
a) Primary
b) Seperation unit

I would change the Sep 1st

I tried what phrek said (" Pressing the flashing buttons simultaneously, evokes the printer to spit out an internal diagnostic page ..."), but after the diagnostic page printed out the printer worked fine again.

I had this same problem but after while it went away - so my solution would be to just keep using it, and perhaps it will solve itself.

This problem appears to be that the scanlamp cable has fatigued and become open-circuit. This can be checked by selecting A3 and pressing the START button while having the lid up. Watch to see if the light stays on all the way through the forward pass of scan cycle, it can be intermittent. Make sure that the machine is unplugged before attempting to replace the cable.The drum is definitely on its way out at that amount of copies, but can be made to last a fair bit longer with some fine-tuning.

It sounds like the lamp/light is going out.  Open the top and try to make a copy and see if the light stays on the entire time.
