Most likely a broken wire in the dual heating element. Pull the cover off the machine, with the power cord unplugged and put a voltmeter on Ohms checking for continuity of the elements. Also check the overheat fuse(s) for continuity.

Check for clogged or restrictions in the exhaust vent. I had a bees nest once on the outside which restricted the door on the vent from fully opening, which lead to an overheat condition.

Also check all the fuses. There may be 2 or more in various areas of the air flow. They should have continuity when the Ohm meter is attached to each fuse lead.

Whats means SRU and CLL message in Kenmore Dryer?

The serial number is just a numerical reference of when it was made. The Model number is the import part.

Kenmore dryer will run for approximately five minutes. It then stops and throws a CLL SRU error code. I have researched this to mean "Call for Service". I have seen others potential causes that range from shorted heating element, to dirty lint screen/venting.

The dryer comes up with 2 codes CLL and Sru. It functions fine, can I continue to use it for a few days until the service rep can make it?

Clean the lint filter and shut down the machine for 5 minutes. Restart and see if the codes clear. If no problem, no worries, just ignore the codes.

I have a kenmore elite dryer that is only 4 yrs old. It stops about 5 minutes into the cycle and puts up 2 codes. CLL and Sru what do these codes mean and can I continue using the dryer ?

Clean the entire exhaust duct from the back of the machine all the way out of the house, if the codes don't change. Call a service tech... CLL SRV = call for service

Kenmore Elite washer service code CLL SrU

Re: Kenmore Elite 417; error CLL SRV We have well water and I think my error message and locked door were because the machine was trying to plump water and not getting any. I heard the error beeping and sent to check it out. There was another noise that didn't stop even after unplugging the washer, although the beeping did, which finally stopped after I turned off the water valves. Press and Hold the power button down to unlock the door and retry. If you still have trouble, call for service.

I constantly got E1 Error code on my Kenmore Elite H3 GAS dryer

E1 error code indicates an open thermistor or open thermistor circuit. A thermistor is a component that relays the temperature in the dryer to the control board. If the thermistor has failed, Error code E1 will be displayed.
You need to call a repair person to fix it.
