Paper jam My Samsung CLX-3160FN shows "paper jam" but in fact there is none. I was told by someone it may be sensor probolem, but I don't know what to do about it. My warranty expired and Samsung refused to do anything. Can I buy sensor somewhere and replace by myself? Thanks

    no I have done that many times and it doesn't work. The point is: it is not a problem of paper jam. The issue incurs when paper cannot roll up for print.

    Resetting the printer normally works, have you attempted that? You can normally get the printer to reset by holding down the power button for a few seconds.

    Paper Jam 0 will be incorrect paper setting paper over 80g select thick paper from the menu as they get older they need a higher setting when new 70 g and over

Probley not but i think you may be able to extend you warantee if they will let you so they can fix the senser or what ever is casing it to do that.

It is telling you that there is a paper jam. Open the door, pull the jammed paper out, close the door, it should clear the message.

Paper jams are typically caused by the rubber rollers inability to put paper through the machine. Try cleaning the roller with damp rag to see if that improves performance. If the roller is badly worn, it will need to be replaced.

Non-working printer; no paper pickup

The associated picture and methodology of "pre-stretching" the solenoid spring is virtually identical for both printers.
Worked for me on the CLX-2160N

I have a Samsung CLX-3160FN, and after every page

Hi,

it is most likely that the fuser actuater arm is not sitting back to the sensor properly. open the back door you will be able to see the fuser, on your right hand side you should be able to see a fliper that sit in between a sensor. try to adjust the fliper flag and see if it works.

if it still continue to give you the same error. try remove the fuser four screw 2 side on each. adjust the flag again and fix it back. it should work and double check for any lose small pices of paper jam in the printer.

CLX-3160FN Paper Jam when there is no paper jam.

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.

check your toner cartridge and also u need to service the printer fuser aseembly.also change roller.or taplon tape.

Constant Paper Jam

One of the paper path sensors is damaged, or stuck. Take it to an Authorized Service Center, for two of the 4 paper sensors cannot be reached without disarming the unit.

Terrible noise when printing

turn off, remove the cartridge and turn back on, do you hear the noise? if no then it's the cartridge
