My Shark rotator is very hard to push at times, easy at other times. What makes it hard to push and how do I fix it?

Nothing. Can't find a way to get to the brush or wheels.

There are several reasons why your Shark is hard to bush.
1. The two front wheels are locked up or missing.
2.The suction force is too strong. Adjust the ring around the handle to reduce air flow.
3. The brush roller isn't working correctly.
4. Be sure wheels are not rubbing or stuck

They are not hard to push. You must have the rotating brush turned on. If it’s not on and your running it on carpet it will be hard to push. Check to see if it is spinning. You could have a broken belt

Does it have a "brushes" lowering/higher switch?
Normally due to brushes being too low in particular on deep pile carpets??
check the actual fixings for the rotating brushes are ok and the brush not simply need "clicking" back into place?

Why are shark vacuum hard to push

I had a shark vacuum as well the only thing i can tell you is do not put it on the lowest setting for carpet pile height. My shark also had lost a screws on the bottom so when i did adjust for height it didn't move the adjustment properly or yours could be broken. Put it on its side and turn adjuster to see if it moves properly and don't use bare floor selection for carpet easy to mistake that selection when we are in a hurry and turn that dial one click too far. I still do it on my Eureka Vacuum.
Hope this helps you

Why are shark vacuum hard to push?

Do you have the height setting correct for the type of carpet? Is it hard if you push it over a wooden or tile floor?

Why does my brush turn?

Most likely the belt that connects the motor to the brush has broken and needs to be replaced. A relatively easy fix.

The brush on my shark rotator will not turn, how to fix it?

Hi, it's Jim from Crucial Vacuum!

One of the main reasons most brush rolls begin to get jammed and eventually not turn at all would be due to a clog. Turn off the vacuum and flip it on its side. Is there any noticeable debris on the bottom of it, mainly long strands of hair or carpet fibers? Clear out this debris and try rotating the brush roll once around to see what else may fall loose. Take note of how the bristles look too. Are they worn down and a bit loose? If so it may be time to change your roller.

Another item to check would be your vacuums belt. If this is loose as well it can affect your vacuums brush roll. Both are simple and easy fixes and can be done in just a few minutes.
