Why is my reel able to reel both directions instead of locking in place?

First of all, oven doors are not designed to be disassembled for cleaning of the sealed glass panel. That being said, you may be able to use a coat hanger to pry the hinges open against heavy spring pressure to allow reassembly.

hi George, if you took the brake apart , you reassembled that incorrectly as there should be a slight gap when moving the lever into free-wheel to allow the motor to move freely...Normal you put a plate the wrong way during reassembly ...a common mistake...

Now with the free wheel working correctly both wheels will move in the same direction when the brake is released either by powering forward or backwards or using the freewheel lever has released...what you described is a normal action ...because they can move independently...that's by design.. so strip the brake again and make sure plates and springs if fitted are the right way round...

Anytime I get into an unfamiliar saw I always take a number of pictures with the I-phone to help with reassembly. Not too much help is it?

It will only go together correctly ONE way. Do not force any of the parts as if you bend the carb linkage, you will forever have a problem with it. A hint: sometimes the parts have to be inverted and slowly twisted or turned back upright to install.

You might try disassembling, cleaning and reassembling the cap.

Hey dude i had the same problem n_n. Attach the screws in place and try to screw one by one gently. Soon this pressure will keep the spring tighten (instead your finger's pressure) then it will be easier to reassemble the component. I know you'll fix it n_n.
