You need the proper cables. I would call your local cable office and ask them. You will need the model # off your TV. 2001 mitsubishi 1080P HD TV is not the model. The model will start with VS. It is located on the rear of the TV.

You need to be using the TV's remote, not the Time Warner remote.  You are reading the TV's manual to set it's remote, not the Time Warner remote.  If you want the Time Warner remote to operate the TV, you will need to find the instructions that the Time Warner box/receiver provides and enter the TV's code.

For Time Warner Cable digital remote controls to work with your 42" LG HDTV, do the following:

1. Press "TV" and "OK" simultaneously for 3 seconds, until the button "tv" light on the remote is on.

2. Enter the TV code. In this case, it's "113". With the right code, your component will turn off. Quickly press the power button on your digital cable remote to turn it back on. Press the "TV" button again so that the remote saves that code.

3. You should be done.

time warner has only one code and it is 400

turn your device on, press device key(tv,dvd,etc) press and hold Setup (led blinks twice), pres 9-9-1(led blinks twice) press power key , press channel + repeatedly until device turns off, press setup untill device turns off. good luck

i bot a new tv i don't have the book for the time warner remote so i don't know how to program it to work the tv it only works cable box
where can i find how to program remote that comes with time warner cable

I have the 55 inch. try using 246. That works on mine. if not try 028,164,208,066

another note, are you using the flash on the back of your cable box or do you have a sensor in front of the DVR box?
