You mentioned a "usb cable" but you cannot connect an external display to a tablet's USB ports. If you are using an HDMI cable, then you will need to select which display is active through the tablet's settings (Android) or control panel (Windows) and also make sure that the TV is set to the appropriate HDMI connection through the input selection.

I have a Samsung galaxy tab 3 sm t210, can i connect it to my television

Yes, you can either "cast screen" using the TV settings as well as the Tab button (providing your TV is fairly modern and with that feature)
But the easiest way is to buy a HDMI cable with a micro HDMI/USB from your phone on one end that converts up to the standard size HDMI...plug and play (just adjust the input port on your TV menu)

How to pair tv with tablet

Hi Thomas

Pair usually refers to "Pairing" bluetooth devices.
The trouble is... Bluetooth is a slow medium for movie transfer and is limited to around 10 meters (yards)
I used to use an adapter which plugged in to the iPad and the HDMI cable plugged in to the other side of the adapter. Then the HDMI was connected to a Digital TV HDMI input.
But that was way back on iPad 1. (2009)
Now days it's a lot easier.
Simply swipe up from the screens bottom. That reveals the AirPlay icon if you are using the $69 Apple TV2. The ATV is connected to the HDTV via a HDMI cable. Simple & works Great!

An App called Air Video HD on the Tablet allows you to choose a Hard Drive Video File for play back on your HDTV.
The Air Video HD developer provides a free piece of Server software for installation on the computer. This is used to point to the Movie files and serves video to HDTV via the App.

I just noticed you didn't mention which tablet you have, so I guess the above would only apply with iPad. Android would take a different approach depending on what version your using and what hardware platform you have.

Good Luck

Can you help to activate my Roku?

have you connected it to Wi-Fi or ethernet ?
Have you connected it to HDMI input of TV ?
You need to use the browser in the unit and look up Netflix, Amazon, YouTube for movies to play.
does it have a usb port where a wireless keyboard receiver could be plugged in making it much easier than using the remote.
I am not familiar with the unit but it most likely is using android like a tablet so find google play store - you need a google email address go to www.gmail.com and set up an email. use it on play store search playstore for movies on line apps

Playstation 3 Does not display on TV using HDMI or regular video

This happened to me a few years back so I apologize if it's not 100% accurate. If you can get it to work on another TV, go ahead and connect it to that, and go in to the settings to select the video input. If it's connected through an HDMI cable, then it will probably be set to HDMI. Change the input here to whatever cable you used in the living room. You will have to power it off at this stage, but when you connect to the other TV it should work.
