Poured rubbing alcohol down the screens in the cartridge cradle.
Dip the nozzles side of the catridge in ammonia solution for two hours clogged ink will be dissolved and the nozzles are free.
Testimonial: "Thanks for the answer, but the inkjets are in the cradle not on the bottom of the inkjet cartridge. I need to know how to get the cartridge out of the machine. I can get it unsnapped but I can not get it out of the machine because a plastic bar runs across the top that is part of the framework of the printer. I suppose I could unscrew the top of the printer, but that looks like a nasty job."

What do you mean by foots sticking the cartridges, is it part of the printer, or the cartridge

I just had the same problem...and this is what I did to get it working...
Turn off your printer. Open the top. Push the cartridge thingie off to the side (if possible) and then take QTips and cleaned the silver bar the
cartridge moves on. Got a lot of ink off of it.
Should run after that.

solution for...
" CARTRIDGE SEVICE STATION IS STUCK " with a blinking red light...
it's a bit difficult...just fixed it today....
first of all...u have to be sure that your service station is clear from any other old ink that maybe dried....that stuck the movement of the service station...
if it doesn't work again...folow the next step...
1. u have to pull out the service station... ( the difficult one ..!!! )
2. under the service station, there is a small motor....just find a new one and change it..
it works...
.....i found this new motor in an old hp printer's service station that i have...
thank u

You need to check the encoder strip, the clear plastic behind the carriage, ink or grease will stop it from reading and give that error. Also ink buildup on the clean station will slow it's travel.

Apparently some defective components were used in the construction of the logic board (see photo). On my C6180 there were 3 failed capacitors (the green cylinders - the puffed top indicates failure) and a 4th from the same manufacturer (TEAPO - many unfavorable web references to this manufacturer). I purchased 3x 330uF 16V and 1x 680uF 10v rated to 105 degrees Celsius (total about 60cents). On the logic board, the capacitors I replaced are labeled C613, C614, C660 and C662. If you are not comfortable replacing the parts yourself (or don't have a soldering tool), you will have to find someone who will. The time to repair should be less than 30 min - I did it in 25 min with only a solder pen. This also fixed the ink system failures the printer was having. A similar fix may apply to other printers produced by HP around this time.
