Short answer: no. Does the TV power on with the "V" logo screen? What are your custom picture settings?

SOURCE: Picture Mode reverts always to Dynamic after several minutes

The set was a store demo, and the options were set so they could not be adjusted. On instruction from Samsung I pressed MENU and VOLUME buttons on the side of the set and hold for 7 seconds The display reverts to Standard from Dynamic. The Remote Options button showed Store Demo, but now shows Standard. All memory functions seem to function now. Thanks for your help.

Your TV is on display mode!! The problems that you are having I had with my new TV.. Call Samsung or go online to their website and it will tell you exactly how to fix that small problem. As for the blue light, just go to setup and under light effect you will be able to choose when you want the light to come on.. I hope this is helpful...

SOURCE: My Vizio HDTV has green/red snow on dark/white

Usually if the LVDS cable between the main board and the T-CON board is bad, you will loose one of the three color signals, you may have thermal problem with the T-CON board. I would run the TV with the back open to see if it will take longer for the problem to appear, or get a can of freeze spray for electronic troubleshooting and cool down the T-CON board (board is under the metal shield that you will have to remove to get to all the cables, I would remove the shield and put the screws back in to keep the T-CON board in place).
The TV as shown in my album has bad T-CON board, the pictures get pixelated and scrambled after about 1/2 hour, I was using a small fan to keep it cool until I finally found a replacement T-CON board. Bad LVDS driver IC on the main board can also be the problem. Right now we need to find out if it is heat related problem or not.

Hi, I have an E550i-B1 vizio tv, when I turn it on it flicks once and I see the vizio sign, then it goes to a black screen. I hear audio but there is no picture. Could this be the power supply board?

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main digital board./

I want to know how a 50 inch vizio tv purchased in 2015 could be broken and the vizio people tell me to throw it away. surely someone can help me replace this inferior product.

Hi Pat.
There is a white sticker on the main board/motherboard that has numbers on it. The replacement board numbers or partial numbers,(except last 4 I believe) has to match, if not the TV may not operate correctly, or may not operate at all. Let me know.
Hope this helps.

you have wasted money on an experimental fix
take it in and get the problem properly diagnosed and then replace the diagnosed faulty part

Vizio picture

It looks like your picture is zoomed, that control should be on your remote. Or change your picture ratio. Tints are all messed up. I would bring everything back down to black and white and start adjusting back up. To do this you have to be in picture mode custom (your pic shows your in standard mode). Everything else is preset for you. Go into all your settings and make adjustments. I also own a Vizio. It took me several attempts to adjust the picture to my liking.

Picture turns green!

The CRT (picture tube) is failing. This is classic in these TV sets, and including many models of the Sony.

There is a short occuring in the electron gun. The CRT would not be feasible to replace even if it was available!
