How can I repair np-11 wont sound

Question moved from Cars and Trucks to a Casio Keyboard one.
Easy enough if you can find the part.

If all A & Eb are dead it would point to either a bad connection between the keyboard circuit and the motherboard ( ribbon cable ) or possible diode problems on the keyboard PCB.

Initially open up and check connections are all tight and correct.
Did this just happen or has the keyboard been opened up?

What you're beng told is to reset the instrument. T/his is als refered to as reboot, or reinitalize. The instructions are at this link-

Resetting Yamaha NP31 Portable Keyboard

To start with always best to use the correct power supply these should be readily available from any good Yamaha store. Is the sustain pedal a Yamaha pedal? The plug end of the pedal connect a multimeter across the two connectors and set meter to show continuity. If there is no continuity press pedal, hopefully this will now respond. If not then the break is in the pedal. If meter idea works then it could be the socket on the keyboard, these can work loose on the pcb they are mounted to if they are used a lot.

You could open up the keyboard and look inside checking the solder joints on the socket or simply take to a Yamaha service centre.

You could also try a master reset of the keyboard, hold down the highest note whilst turning on, this will reset to factory default.

This may sould dumb, but did you check the Headphone jack? If the 1/4" adapter for 1/8" may be left in the port, like on my keyboard. I took it out and sound came on. Lame, I know, but . . . .

Get it repaired by a professional. Casio gives long warranty (5 years in Australia). Mine took weeks for Casio Service to repair. Many boards had to be changed.

Check the switch to be sure the keyboard is in normal mode and not chord mode. This will cause there to be no sound unless you play a chord on those first 11 keys. Pressing play activates whatever song is loaded at the time, allowing full keyboard use.

I have an older Casio, and the same thing happens all the time, especially when I'm in a hurry and don't check where I put the switch.
