There are 2 sizes of pedals, they are based on the shaft size, thats the part that connects to the crank. The two size are 1/2 and 9/16ths. To determine your pedal size, take a ruler to the back side of the crank arm and measure the shaft size. If you have problems, take your bike to the local bike shop

SOURCE: I HAVE A MGX MOUNTAIN BIKE. WERE THE PEDAL ARE

im certain that model has a 3 piece crank set up. the inner crank bearing jam nut has loosened up or the bearings themselves have gone bad.first check to see if its tight, if it is then it will require a replacement set of bearing that are a pretty standard size to all bikes and can be purchased at nearly every bike shop.

Pedal GT Outpost

Pedals are threaded pretty standard. I'd unscrew your's and send them to your son. Then put on the pedals you want.

They stole my bikes pedals and I want to know what size they are to buy them?

Being a mtn bike it probably had flat pedals or lock-in SPD. Either way, pedals dont come in sizes, the shoes do. A pair of pedals will fit ANY bike, just select the type you want. Just be careful when screwing on, there is a LEFT PEDAL and a RIGHT PEDAL. They screw on in oppposite directions.!

What is the size of the thread of a standard bike pedal?

There are 2 standard sizes:

Standard one-piece cranks 1/2" x 20 tpi

Standard 3-piece cranks 9/16" x 20 tpi.

The Right Pedal (gear side) has a normal thread, the Left has a reverse thread.

Need a bearing size or part number to replace a pedal bearing in a huffy stone mountain multi speed 26" bike

Pedal bearing or bottom bracket bearing? Your best bet would be to take it to a local Bike Shop and have them assess it.
