If you only cleared RAM, a program that was loaded no longer resides in RAM, but if it was archived, it should still be available.
If you cleared all Including Archives, then it is lost.

Ti-nspire with 84 keypad problems

It seems to me that you get the loading bar when you switch keypads. I just switched keypads, and when I reinserted the TI84 Plus keypad back again I found my last TI84 Plus screen contents still displayed.
As to the RAM cleared message, it probably is related to the batteries being depleted.
To verify battery charge level, you may use TI connect.

I have a TI84 plus texas instruments i have removed both the batteries in order to reset the unit but it still has not resetted the unit. All I am getting all zeros on the screen

First try removing all four AAA batteries and the small lithium backup battery (above the four AAA batteries). Leave all batteries out for five minutes, then replace them and try to start the calculator. If this doesn't work...

Replace all but 1 AAA battery. Press and hold the "CLEAR" button on the calculator. While holding the "CLEAR" button down, replace the missing AAA battery. While still holding the "CLEAR" button, turn the calculator on. The display should read "RAM Cleared". Release the "CLEAR" button and press again to remove the message.

If that doesn't work, remove 1 AAA battery again. Repeat the preceding instructions with the "DEL" key: With the battery removed, press and hold the "DEL" key. With the "DEL" key held down, replace the battery and turn the calculator on. The screen should say "Waiting... Please install calculator software now." Release the "DEL" key. Download this program onto your computer (from Texas Instruments). Connect the calculator to the computer using the USB cable provided with purchase. Run the TI OSDownloader program and follow the on-screen instructions to re-install the calculator's operating system.

Everytime I turn on my TI-84 Plus Silver, it stays on for 2 seconds, then shuts off on its own. What can fix this? Other details: When it turns on, sometimes it displays Ans+

Hi mixedgamer12,
The process below should reset your Ti84 plus calculator. If you do this process your RAM memory will be cleared and, you will have to re-install the Ti84 plus calculator's OS.
  1. Remove one of the AAA batteries. Press and hold the [CLEAR] key. While holding [CLEAR],
reinsert the AAA battery and then turn the calculator on. The calculator should display the
message "RAM Cleared". Release the [CLEAR] key and then press it one more time to remove the message.
  2. Remove one of the AAA batteries. Press and hold the [DEL] key. While holding [DEL], reinsert the AAA battery and then turn the calculator on. The calculator should display
"Waiting...Please install calculator software now". Follow the instructions for the
TI-83 family or TI-84 Plus family to reinstall the calculator operating system in step 3. If the calculator still won't turn on connect the calculator to the computer and, open Ti Connect. Next, open Device Explorer. Is the calculator asking to be installed? Can you go into Device Explorer?
  3. Steps to re-installing the operating system:

~Connect the TI Connectivity cable between the PC and the calculator if you haven't already.
~Click on Start >> Programs >> TI Tools >> TI Connect >> TI OSDownloader
~Follow the on-screen directions to reinstall the calculator's OS. When or, if the calculator install the fresh OS goto step 4.

  4. Remove all of the batteries including the round lithium battery for 5 minutes. After the 5 minute period, reinsert all of the batteries and turn the calculator on. Adjust the contrast if necessary.

  5. If the above process did not work to turn your calculator on, try re-doing the above process. Next time extend the time in step 4 by 5 minutes to 10 minutes before you put all the batteries back in the calculator.

Why do some TI83 program work on a TI84 plus and other don't?

Ti 83 and ti84 really have no difference and operate the same. There was something different or you had varibles used by multiple programs that conflicted w/ the ti84 and it would have done the same on the ti83. If you like to rework it and need help email me at [email protected]
