Glossy paper has wrapped itself around the fuser. How can I remove the fuser to remove the paper.
SOURCE: paper wrapped around the red roller
lift the cover remove all the cartridges and the drum unit slowly and carefully and slightly pull the upper side of the paper not the lowerside and if it is rolled completely you have to open the heater unit to remove if you donot have any technical knowledge do not try because the red roll you are taking is a costly thing, call the service technician and get it repaired that would be more cheaper.

possibly the fusers thermostat is displaced. it rides very close to the roller to get an accurate reading, look for 2 wires into a black "thing" toward the middle of the roller. this is a thermistor which sends its reading to the mainboard. check if the fuser is getting very warm, there is a thermo couple in series with the fusers power so it wont overheat but if its getting hot and the printer doesnt know it then the dammaged/displaced thermostat would be the thing to look for,

Hello.
Just be certain that the paper is cleared from all the areas:
From HP Support
Using the handle, completely open the left cover until it is at
right angles to the main frame. The toner cartridges will
disengage automatically. If the left cover is not completely open, the top cover release button will remain locked. Press the top cover release button to unlatch the top cover and open it all the way.
Carefully take the jammed paper out of the printer.
Do not touch the fuser. It is hot and could cause burns!
The fuser’s operating temperature is 180°C (356° F). Take care
when removing paper from the printer.
After making sure that the left cover is open, close the top cover. Make sure that it is securely latched. CAUTION: Do not try to close the left cover with the top cover open. This may cause damage to the printer.
Close the left cover firmly.
Open and close the right cover to resume printing.
Hope this helps.
