There are at least 3 boards on the HL600, the panel control board where the timer and start/stop switch are located, the interface board a little one on top of the output board, this one take the voltage input from the plug, and has the output to the contactor that energize the motor, in order for this last board send the power to contactor must to receive and input voltage from the control panel board trough out the interface board DX+ &DX- terminals if there is voltage present that should be 24 vac or 12 dc and still no output then check the capacitors board, is next to the output terminals, make sure you discharge those capacitors before touching it.

Because of the very high voltage on the output of the Inverter drive, I do not want to be responsible for your injury or death from you servicing this machine without proper training.

Looks like you are familiar with all those Hobart mixers. Hope you can help me too.
So I have a HL600. Got it from a school. Was working prior to remove from the school facility.
A month later plugged it in. Worked for like 20 min and stopped.
Bowl still goes up and down but there is no lights on the display.
And mixer wont start at all. Called Hobart. They sent out a tech. He checked the mixer and said all is good with it just the control panel board is bad. Ok So I got another board. Same thing. Mixer worked like 20 min and stopped. All the same sypthoms. Now since the tech said its the board thought OK. Let's put another board on it. And same thing happened again. Mixer stopped, lights disapeared.
Now we have 3 mixers and 3 bad boards I guess.
But I don't think the board is the problem anymore. What's the chance that working machine when I take out the board and put it on another unit it won't work.
The problem must be something else.
Please let me know if you have any ideas how to get them back working.

Much appreciated.
Regards Stoyan

Hobart Legacy HL600-1STD 60 quart commercial planetary floor mixer

It is a commercial machine, so I would advise against any major repairs. The manual does give all the information. The unit has oil seals in the head and these would have to be replaced.

What is a good source for a reasonably priced 200-240V 2.7 HP switched reluctance motor found on Hobart's HL600 mixers?

Baldor no longer manufactures that motor. Hobart would have to install a kit that includes every electrical component in the machine. Be careful if you find a used one, they have a very fragile encoder on the rear of the motor.

HELLO, My name is Timothy and I got a motor repaired for the Hobart H 600 stand mixer and I need to ask one Question. What is the gear oil that this model takes as I lost some of the gear oil during...

Planetary takes six ounces 150 weight gear oil if completely drained (i.e. Exxon Spartan EP 150 or equivalent). Transmission uses one gallon 460 weight (yeah, 460 weight!) gear oil (Exxon Spartan EP 460 or equivalent).

HL 600 timer board I think

Sorry so late but the reason you need the kit is because the potentiometer (the knob that selects the time) is no longer part of the timer board. You need the pot,and board.I'm a hobart tech,if any other questions let me know.

Hobart hl600 mixer

I know what these codes are: code 19 is that phase c is over current fault and code 23 is a motor stall fault.I would start by making sure you 3 phase wiring going into the mixer is there.I service these mixers as im a service tech for hobart.these units are very detailed and i can walk you thru some things to check but if you have an electrical problem you most likley will have to call a hobart service tech because we have special equipment to diagnose the fault.let me know it may be something simple as these mixers are usally maintenance free.
