At the end of a complete wash cycle the clothes come out quite damp. There's no problem with wash being pumped away, all pipes and filter are clean. It's as if they haven't been spun enough. It happens even if the load is nowhere near max but happens less often if it is a very small load. Miele novotronic w1514

Check the drain spigot, where the drain hose attaches to the drain trap under the sink/tub.There may be a blockage in the spigot which is causing the water to drain very slowly and therefor not allowing the machine to spin at normal fast speed.

Sir,
The motor on this washer turn one way to wash and the other way to spin and drain.
So if the washer is spinning and not draining you have a pump problem.Take the front panel off and watch to see what is happening.
You will have to check for power to the motor in spin. Either the motor
is bad or the timer or both. Refer to the schematic for this.
Thanks
Good luck

SOURCE: Visible water level in front-load clothes washing machine?
Yes, it is normal. There is water in the machine. One of the big draws for this style machine is that they use much less water than top load machines. If you stopped the cycle and opened the door, dug down in the clothes, you would find water. The machine fills a small amount of water (below the level of the door) and tumbles. As the water is absorbed by the clothing, the water level drops, so the machine adds more to maintain the water level. This is basically how the washer figures out how big your clothes load is and how much water that load needs. (Of course most sales persons at the big box stores and Sears have no idea how this works)
If you'd like, try running a cycle with no clothes to see how much water is in the machine. (It's not a lot) Now remember this: Because there is so much less water use than a top load machine, you must cut way way way back on the amount of soap and fabric softener used. Use no more than one tablespoon of HE (High Efficiency) soap (even less if it is 2x or 3x concentrate) and one teaspoon of fabric softener per load !!!!!
This should be a Fix-Ya for your question. Thanks.

The pump is probably obstructed by an object. Typicial it will be a coin. You will need to gain access to the pump, which should be located on the bottom front to the machine. Remove the hoses to the pump.(Important..have a bowl or pan to catch the water that will come out of the hoses)
Turn the machine on a cycle that will turn the pump on. This will let you know if the pump is working correctly. If something is in the pump, remove the pump and remove any obstructions. Then just reverse the process to reassemble your machine. If the pump is not working thaen you will need to replace it.

Sounds like you need a new drive belt.
Testimonial: "Is this drive belt difficult of change? ... Are the belts expensive? Now I know, where to start looking at least. Cheers! "
