SOURCE: Lost installation disk for canon pixma mp780

Go to this link. Wait a few seconds for all the files to load. Select your OS in the box, then wait a few more seconds, and you will see the drivers displayed.

You will need to download and install both the driver and the MP Navigator (under the Software heading). Click on the link and follow the instructions to install.

SOURCE: My Canon Pixma MP780 is saying "waste ink absorber is near full"

Under the place where the inks park is a tray full of asorbent pads. It was the most awful thing to get to in my Pixma ip 2000. If you have a day to spare, and a work table, and some long needle nose pliers or maybe hemostats, and the usual tools, you can take the machine apart to get at it. Note which pads (and parts) go where, everything has to go back where it came from. The pads will rinse out with water, lots of it.

SOURCE: The waste ink collector/tank is nearly full

The ink collector should be found underneath where the cartridges normally rests. Put some tissue paper on the ink padand let it absorb the ink. You might have to repeat the procedure a few times to get rid of all the ink.

SOURCE: how do you find the waste ink collector on a printer/scanner ?

Inkjet printers have a fibrous pad inside them that collects the waste ink from cleaning the print head. Over time, this pad fills up with ink and can no longer hold any more. When this occurs, the printer indicates a "waste ink tank full" error.

The waste ink absorption pads are inside the printer, in the very bottom. They are usually soaked with ink when full and are very messy.

Replacing the waste ink absorption pads is something an authorized canon service facility can take care of for you.

Also, while printing on the Canon printers you would usually get a window on the screen showing you the level of ink in the printer.

And here is a link on how to replace the ink cartridges on your printer http://support-au.canon.com.au/contents/AU/EN/8000117601.html

Empty the waste ink

Take the printer to a qualified technician.
He/she can "empty" or "replace" the waste ink collector
*AND* "reset" the printer's internal software, to say that it has been serviced.

Can not print media

Basically ##343 means the waste ink absorber needs replacing (soaks the spilt ink up under the cartridges).

Link to an official Canon service manual. That should tell you how to change it.
