How do I find the permutations button on a Casio Computer FX-CG10 Graphing Calculator

Turn calculator ON.
If you see no icons, press the Menu key then [1] to select Run/Mat.
In Run/Mat press the OPTN key, then the F6 key to pan other tabs.
Above the F3 key you see the PROB tab. Activate it by pressing F3. The permutation Tab is above F2.
To use permutations, enter the larger number (n), press F2 [nPr] followed by the smaller number.

By P value, do you mean permutation, or do you mean the statistics p value?
To find the permutation P value simply type in the n (or total number of observations) then press 2nd F (the orange button) and then enter the number of spaces available and press equal.

How do i find !

The symbol is used to represent the factorial function. That function appears in probability theory, so you will find it under the Prob menu.

Turn Claculator ON
If you see no icons, press the MENU key.
Press 1 to select Run/Matrix home screen.
Press the OPTN key
Press F6> to move to the next page of TABS.
The probability Menu is activated by pressing the F3 key.
The factorial function is shown at the bottom of the screen as x!
Enter the number whose factorial you want to calculate, and press F1.
The calculator cannot calculate the factorial of numbers larger than 69.

Note: If you have to calculate permutations and combinations, do not use the definition in terms of factorials. Rather, use nPr for permutations and nCr for combinations.

How do you do permutation problems, combination problems, and binomial probability problems on it? What keys do u press?

Use the key next to which is the marking nPr, for permutations, and the key nCr for combinations. In all probability, the functions are accessed by pressing the SHIFT key first. To use these functions, enter the larger number (n), press the key or key sequence then enter the smaller number (r).
I cannot say about the binomial function (I do not have the hardware with me), and do not really want to second guess you: you do not specify the type of problems you have in mind.

I'm trying to learn Permutations and Combinations in my Algebra class and it gives us generic formulas like nPr=n!over(n-r)! and nCr=n!overr!(n-r)! and I was wondering how I'm supposed to do those. I was...

Yes, your calculator can do them. Press the PRB key to bring up the Probability menu. Among them you'll find nPr and nCr for permutations and combinations, as well as ! for the factorial.

To compute 4C2, press 4 PRB right-arrow 2 ENTER. Permutations work the same way, only without the right-arrow.

How do I do a permutation? (npr)

Hello,
The syntax is not as you thought.
Ex: 8(nPr)3 is entered as follows
8 [X <--> Y] 3 [2nd] [nPr] [=]

The [ X <--> Y] is the exchange X and Y key.

Hope it helps.

How do i calculate permutation in fx-82ms casio calculator

Hello,

Find on the calculator the [nPr] key either (you may have to use the [2nd] or [2ndF] key) then
1. Enter the number that corresponds to n eg. 18
2. Press the [nPr] key
3. Enter the number that corresponds to r eg. 5

18[nPr]5 gives 1028160

If you calculate combinaitions use [nCr] key.

Hope it helps

I want to calculate permutation and combination.

Hello,
Use the sequence [2ndF][nPr] for permutations and [2ndF][nCr] for combinations.
Exemples: 10(nPr)3 is entered as 10[2ndF][nPr]3 [=] gives 720
5(nCr)2 is entered as 5 [2ndF][nCr] 2 [=] gives 10

Hope it helps.

Combinations and Permutations

You can enter combinations and permutations.

If the order of the selection matters (ie. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place out of 40 contestants) use permutation. Enter:

40{shift}{nPr}3 and then [=] for your answer set (=59280 possible ways).

IF order doesn not matter (ie. a team of 3 from 40 possible members) then it is a combination. Do the same as above, but substitute {nCr} for {nPr}. (= 9880 possible ways).

For your question: a three-digit set, selecting from 0-9. There is no specified order, it is a combination. The total n=10 (there are 10 digits in the range 0-9) and you are selecting 3.

so.... 10[nCr]3 with give the number of possible combinations.
