SOURCE: Whirlpool microwave mod: wmh76718as0 no power to the turntable. Motor is good, fuse ok, all other functions ok. Bad control board?

If not belt driven, then you may have either a wiring problem, or a defective controlling device (triac or relay) on the control panel.

My Whirlpool Whirlpool microwave table does not turn

Usually indicates a bad turntable motor (accessable from the bottom of the microwave oven), but sometimes (in some cases) the turntable shaft coupler (which is made out of plastic), splits or cracks, so the motor turns, and the shaft slips inside the coupler.

Turntable has suddenly stopped working.

The turntable motor may be bad, if you've confirmed the switch is working. The motor is located under the bottom of the microwave and has the shaft penetrating through the bottom of the oven cavity with a drive coupler attached. The coupler is what drives the glass carousel tray. The motor can be accessed by unplugging the microwave and removing the bottom panel screws. The motor is held in by a couple of screws and two connecting wires. The coupler will lift up and pull off the motor shaft from inside the oven.

You can view this part and exploded view diagrams of your microwave at appliancepartspros.com. Just type in your model number and look under the "Magnetron and Air Flow" heading for item 6 (part number AP 3119645).

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Fan & Turntable start when door is opened.

sounds like there is a switch that is bad. you can go buy a new MW for about 200$ and in yours if there is a major problem then i would just go buy a new one but might be worth a repair man to come check it out

pleas do not poke around in the microwave as it carries a charge of 5000volts and can kill you even if not plugged in DON'T TOUCH THE WIRES WITH BRAIDS ON THE OUT SIDE if you must get inside of the unit

Microwave turntable

The solution is very simple. Unplug the microwave first. Remove the round dish. Remove the circular riing with the rollers and set aside with the dish. Carefully with a butter knife, pry up the coupler and set aside. Examine to make sure it isn't broken or cracked where it slips over the motor shaft. Remove 5 Phillip head screws from the bottom pan and it hinges down out of the way exposing the motor. Remove 2 screws holding the motor, slip off the plastic dual flat connector and slip back onto a new motor $52.25 + shipping from GE parts. Remember your actual MW Model number is NOT XL-1800 but it is on a metal tag inside the MW on the left side. Put the motor screw in as removed so the shaft is free to stick up the hole in the bottom of the MW. Put the pan screws back up, put the coupler on, the ring in and then the dish and line the slots of the dish up with the star coupler so it catches. Turn on MW, touch the turntable button and make sure it is "ON" and not "OFF" and it should be, with the door shut, turning like a quiet little top as new.

Find glass turntable replacement part

These are the glass trays listed to match the models you gave (NR961T is actually MR961T) and they are all shown as no longer available from standard suppliers:

MW-7600-04 MW-7600-06 MW-7600-11 MW-7600-13. MW-7600-12 should also work.

You can order one of the -11 or -12 trays by part number here.

It may take a week or two, and they may reply back that they were unable to find one, in which case they will not charge you.

If you can't find one, you can check eBay or Wal-Mart and other stores to see if they have a Rubbermaid or Nordic Ware (NordicWare) wind-up turntable like this "Micro-Go-Round". (I've seen them at Wal-Mart).

In some cases, two microwave-safe plates can serve as a makeshift replacement for a missing tray. You have to find a saucer that fits securely on your turntable support, though. Here;'s a photo of that, too.
We're happy to help you and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
