If this is a fridgidaire washer, I guess it's a clogged coin catcher. You have remove the front access panel and clean it out. I am working on that now.
My Kenmore H3 stops working, starts beeping and flashing "F9", but it only happens when I'm washing a heavy load like jeans or bath towels. I think it gets off-balance and I have found that if I hit "pause" once and then hold in "start" briefly it somehow resets itself and works fine from then on till the load is completely done.
Ok if its only bring the E20 up on the drying side then this will be a blocked dryer condenser chamber.
To get at this you need to take the back half of the washer off and from there you will see a big plastic chamber going from the bottom up to the top.
Take this chamber off and give it a good clean out with a hose pipe.
Once this is clear refit it and the dryer should be back to normal from there.

We keep getting error code E20 on our front loading washer near the end of the cycle, clothes are dripping wet and heavy, no spin
E20 comes up on my washing machine & like the others - there is no spin & washing is saturated & I have 10 loads waiting !!!!!!!!
i AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM
error appears half way through wash.
E20 error comes up half way thru the cycle
washer reads code f during wash cycle
I have this front load washer and I'm having the same problem it will wash but when it gets to the final spin stage it won't spin and the screen comes up with E20 code. I don't know how to fix it and my clothes are still completely wet because it won't finishing the final spin cycle.
Our washer did the same thing. My husband and I disassembled the washer last night and cleaned the filter (which had a sock and some change in it)... reassembled the washer... which took about 2 hours. I successfully washed 2 loads of clothes (spin cycle completed) without problems.
This morning I washed another load of clothes and I received the e20 error again. We have disassembled the washer once again. This time there was a lot of water at the base pan. My husband noticed that one of the clamps was not secure... so we feel that we may know what is causing the water. The filter is clear, so I don't understand why we are continuing to get the e20 error and that the spin cycle will not complete. Is there a reset code or do I need to do 3 or more loads to 'clear' anything out? Please help... I just lost my job last week and the washer broke late last week and our a/c went out this afternoon. I guess bad luck comes in threes? Thanks much!!!
