washer reads code f during wash cycle

I have this front load washer and I'm having the same problem it will wash but when it gets to the final spin stage it won't spin and the screen comes up with E20 code. I don't know how to fix it and my clothes are still completely wet because it won't finishing the final spin cycle.

Our washer did the same thing. My husband and I disassembled the washer last night and cleaned the filter (which had a sock and some change in it)... reassembled the washer... which took about 2 hours. I successfully washed 2 loads of clothes (spin cycle completed) without problems.

This morning I washed another load of clothes and I received the e20 error again. We have disassembled the washer once again. This time there was a lot of water at the base pan. My husband noticed that one of the clamps was not secure... so we feel that we may know what is causing the water. The filter is clear, so I don't understand why we are continuing to get the e20 error and that the spin cycle will not complete. Is there a reset code or do I need to do 3 or more loads to 'clear' anything out? Please help... I just lost my job last week and the washer broke late last week and our a/c went out this afternoon. I guess bad luck comes in threes? Thanks much!!!

If this is a fridgidaire washer, I guess it's a clogged coin catcher. You have remove the front access panel and clean it out. I am working on that now.

My Kenmore H3 stops working, starts beeping and flashing "F9", but it only happens when I'm washing a heavy load like jeans or bath towels. I think it gets off-balance and I have found that if I hit "pause" once and then hold in "start" briefly it somehow resets itself and works fine from then on till the load is completely done.

Error code E20 on a AEG washer dryer

Ok if its only bring the E20 up on the drying side then this will be a blocked dryer condenser chamber.

To get at this you need to take the back half of the washer off and from there you will see a big plastic chamber going from the bottom up to the top.

Take this chamber off and give it a good clean out with a hose pipe.

Once this is clear refit it and the dryer should be back to normal from there.

Error codes

If this machine is like other of its type then you may find the manual taped to the inside of the machine near the bottom side panel.
open the bottom access panel (3 screws on bottom front lip) and look for it as it will have the codes. near where the filter is .
while you were down there cleaning the filter did you check that the pump impellers move freely and were not clogged with any debris.

Error codes

I suggest you snake out the drain into which the machine waste hose goes, the standpipe that is. The drain could be blocked somewhere causing pressure problems which is conveyed to the machine. Be sure to replace the machine exit hose at about 3 feet from ground level, and dont shove it too much into the standpipe. Do not block up the point where the machine hose goes into the standpipe, it shouldn't be air tight.

E20 message

Hi Helenw,
The error message E20, simply means the filter plastic cage which is located behind the trap door bottom right side of the machine is full and needs to be cleaned out.
All the fibres and lint gets trapped in here and prevents the waste water from escaping, hence Error code E20.

David

Error code 20

Hi, I also got the error code E20 when the filter became totally blocked during the washing cycle (due to a pair of my son's old work jeans!). Once I cleaned out the filter everything worked ok again. Put a large bowl under the filter as you unscrew it; a fair amount of water could be there. Regards, John
