I have an Haier model HVW18BSS wine cooler. The two fans needed to be replaced and I can't remember if both fans blow air towards the unit or just the top one and the bottom fan exhausts or do both exhaust?

All refrigerators can be repaired. Or you can choose to replace.

For those refrigeration systems that employ a fan it is usually positioned to push cool ambient air through the condenser, being somewhat more efficient than pulling air through it because unless it is fitted with a close fitting mask or cowl the fan could pull a great deal of air from the sides completely bypassing the evaporator...

I don't know. It might just be really old? If you bought it like in 2000-2005, it might just be old. You probebly just need to get a new one. Don't feel bad. :3

the processor cooling fans for the CPU and case fans are 3 PINS.. you can use them but remember that these are 12V fans. once its the same power it will work. Ps if needed you can cut the connects from your old fan and connect it to the new ones to get it to fit properly..

Not sure if you got an answer to this question or not, but I had the same issue and thought I'd reply just in case you still needed help. I was able to order this part for about $30 (including shipping and tax) from http://www.partstore.com. The item number for the top fan is RF-2750-44 and the number for the bottom fan is RF-2750-45.
Based on other posts on this site and other sites it seems that the upper fan dies on this particular model quite a bit.

Maybe not the answer for everyone, but I proved it was the fan by removing the back panel, removing the fan and finger guard, then placing a small desktop fan that was the same size as the top-rear fan on the wine fridge. Pumping air directly over the heat sink allowed the unit to attain the temperature set on the front panel. The old fan would either not turn at all, or too slowly to be effective. These fans are junk. Especially after finding articles such as this out in different forums for the same issue. I have the HVTS18DABB model unit and the replacement fan is a simple 120mm square, 25mm deep 12V DC fan. Similar or the same as you see in computer chassis. Found some inexpensive, high CFM, low noise fans from the following site:

Specific fan for my application was the model SY1225SL12SH. Although I did order a second fan that is similar in case the .5amps was too high and I popped a fuse. These fans are inexpensive folks, as long as you aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. Good luck.

hi geneglass,no rest ,they are built into unit.first fin thermostat and put the two wires together[unit unplug first]then when to gether plug in.the thermo controls run time.if not doing it will need volt meter to check at compresor relay.please help with my ratings if i have been helpful.god bless you,tom
