You can make your bread a little bit wet before toting while you shouldn't make it soaked. I have tried this trick myself. I hope you can also make benefit from this trick.

Russell Hobbs toaster burns toast

It is a 'pop up toaster'. It should turn off the heat rather than 'reducing' it and pop up. The reviews mention the same. Time for a new one.

Our tob40 toaster oven is burning toast on lowest setting. Is there a fix for this?

A new one perhaps. A toaster is inexpensive and there is a lot that can fail.

Top filament has burned out; does it pay to repair toaster oven or shouldit be replaced by a newer model??? We rarely use the oven and mostly use the appliance for toast. A replacement would cost less...

Chances are very slim your toaster oven is repairable anyway if the heating element burns out. A replacement part is not available, and there's no way to reliably repair a break. Even if it could be fixed, the low replacement cost makes it uneconomical. Parts and labor would run close to $50, maybe even exceed that price.

Unless you can find a part and do the repair yourself, small appliances today are throw-away items.

Lever will not stay depressed

Hello. The first thing to try is to set the toasting level to a darker setting. Often this alone will solve the problem. If not, the mechanism which prevents burning or even a fire is simply worn out and it is time to buy a new toaster. J.

Toaster burns everything

It sounds like the heating sensor is longer functioning and the toaster is probably kaput, unless you can find an independent repairman who works on small appliances. In my own experience even a pricey toaster last about 3-5 years. I had the same problem with the same brand, just a different style

Toaster Setting

There is a mini adjustable potentiometer facing the left side on the circuit board. Turning it counter clockwise to your taste.
