typically these problems are caused by either fuel problems or spark problems. I would pull the sparkplugs to see if the engine is running lean or rich. Normally the spark plugs should have a nice tan color to them. If they are wet or black engine is running rich. Easier still depending on the year of your Blazer, is to have the computer scanned for codes. Usually this will tell you exactly what is wrong.
Fuel pressure reading will give you the answer.but O2 sensor, engine temp, trottle position sensor, poor combustion like cylinder compression spark plugs, valve timing
As you can see there a lot of things that can change the rich and poor fuel metering.
hope it helps
It should be good for up to 7 years, it depends how important you are in your own mind :) Some of the filthy rich demand only the best, the freshest. flour had to have been milled this week or toss it out... give it to the poor! :)
You are off to a good start, MAF when it is contaminated it leans the vehicle out it doesnt make the car run rich, depending on the fuel strategy of the year make and model, and of course the engine size make all the difference, bad ignition coil make a car run rich shorted 02 sensor that lean bias make the car run rich, worn timing belt ****** timing and causes the car to run rich.so lets hear the results
Sounds like your automatic choke is giving you problems. Check to make sure the choke is operating correctly. If it ins not backing off as the engine gets to operating temp it will cause a rich condition and excessive black smoke out the tailpipe and extremely poor fuel mileage.
