Milligram is a unit of mass. Milliliter is a unit of volume. Comparing the two is like trying to compare pounds and gallons.

One ml of water will weigh 1000 mg. One ml of gold will weigh nearly 20000 mg.

How many mg is in .4 ml?

For water, 1 Liter (volume) has a mass of 1Kg.
milli (m) is "1/1000 of".
Kilo (K) is "1000 times".
So:

Mass: Volume:
1Kg = 1Lt
1 000g = 1 000ml
1 000 000 mg = 1 000 ml
1 000 mg = 1 ml
400 mg = 0.4 ml

Depending on what liquid you are weighing, the density / mass can vary.

If inkjet, I guess it will be similar to H2O.

If it sinks in water, it is denser.
If it floats on top, it's less dense.

In a 5 ml bottle how many drops would there be if a drop is 60 mg?

You are mixing millilitres (Volume) with (Milligrams) Weight. For that you have to assume that 1,000 milligram is equal with 1 millilitre, but that only works with distilled water, which is also 1 cubic centimetre.

1,000 milligrams Therefore, there must be 1,000 milligrams in a milliliter, making the formula for mg to ml conversion: mL = mg / 1000 .Dec 21, 2021

How to convert this mg to ml and solve this problem?: Amoxicillin 500mg/500ml dispense 750mg over 6 hours. What is the flow rate in gtts/min?

For that product 1mL weighs 1 mg. 1 for 1.
750 mg over 6 hours is equivalent to 750 mL over 6 hours.
In mL per minute, you calculate 750 mL / (6*60) m = 25/12 mL/min
Now just find out of may mL are in a drop. Divide the result above by the number of mL/min and you get your result in drops /min
I assumed that gtts stands for drops (in French gouttes) per minute.

How to convert 80 ml to 80 mg

Hmm injection eh?

Well, 80 mg is not 80 ml, nowhere near.

For pure water 1 ml is 1 gram. So 80 ml is going to be 80 g which is 80 000 mg. This all comes form the base relation 1 litre (1000 ml) is 1 kg (1000 g).

For other substances, it will be a bit more or less than 1 gram in a ml, but not much.

It would help us both to know what is the injection, we are not the police.

1000 micrograms (mcg) EQUALS 1 milligram (mg)
1000 milligrams (mg) EQUALS 1 gram (g)
1000 grams (g) EQUALS 1 kilogram (kg)

1 kilogram (kg) EQUALS 2.2046 pounds
1 ounce EQUALS 28.35 grams
1 pound EQUALS 0.4536 kilograms
1 pound EQUALS 16 ounces
16 ounces EQUALS 453.6 grams

Convert mg to ml

Milligram is a unit of mass (or weight), milliliter is a unit of volume. Any conversion between them depends on the density.

62.5 milligrams of water occupies 62.5 milliliters. 62.5 milligrams of gold occupies about 3.2 milliliters.
