Burners go out

It is most likely something in the tube under the burners. Remove the burners and blow the tubes out or use something flexible that will fit into the tubes. I found dirt dabber bees in mine one time. Other possibilities, would be the obvious, is there gas in the tank?

On the majority of weber grills, the tube burners fit over the valve and the back of the burner fits into slots in the back of the fire box. The proper way to remove and repalce the burners is to remove the front panel whilch will allow the valves to move forward so the burners can move forward and out of the slots in the back of the fire box. To put the new burners in, you simply reverse the process. Once caution. be sure that you get the new burners properly seated over the vavles or you will have a flash back fire behind the front panel and damage the vavles and igniters.

How do you remove the venturi tubes of a Blue Ember Gas Grill? The manual explains how to clean the venturi tubes, but it doesn't say how to remove the tubes for cleaning. The manual just says...

The venturi tubes are part of the burner. It"s a slot on both sides of the burner tube, where it goes over the burner orifice. You will need to remove the burners to check and clean them.

Hope this helped answer your question.

I am renting a condo with an old Weber Grill - 2 burner / LP (I think it is a Genesis Silver A ('00-01) model . I have very little gas pressure at the burner tubes. - Front tube flickers on/off with...

Yes the best option for just for you is to buy a new burner, tube kit and a new manifold kit because all the things that you said you removed from the burner must have caused alot of rust on the burner and if you keep welding the burner there will still be linkage after awhile so the best thing is just for u replace the burner.

Yes, a good place to start would be to run a burner brush through entire tube to make sure all spider webs are out, then blow through again. If that doesn't cure it, double check your position of burner tube in chamber. Sometimes if it's moved into chamber too far, it will tend to back-up flame in to tube. I've had some that I re-installed and was sure I put it back exactly where it was before, but had to pull burner tube back approx 1/8"-3/16" to get a proper flame. Make sure it's centered in chamber as well.

The front burner on my Weber Silver only partially lights, even after I've cleaned it. What else should I be looking at?

There is probably a clog inside the burner tube. you will have to removwe the burner from the grill and run a bottle brush through the tube, or with garden hose, spray into tube for a minute then with tube opening facing down, spray through burner hole to rinse out. this should be done to all burners, yearly.

Low flame on burner...

Remove the burner and check the flexible tubes for kinks or blockages. The flexible tubes usually just slip over the backs of the valves. Spiders love to get in there and block them. Also check that the holes in the burners are not clogged. Be careful when reseating the flexible tubes to be sure that they are properly seated on the back of the valves. Failure to properly seat the flexible tubes can cause leakage there, and the gas can ignite at the back of the valves and not reach the burner. Be certain that the replacement burner is designed to use with your grill and the flexible tubes mate properly with the back of the valves.

Replacement of gas burners

Hello, The model number that you gave is relatively simple to change the burners.
  1. Remove the 3 cooking grids
  2. Remove the 3 vaporizer tents
  3. Between each burner is a "pal nut" that just pushes on and will likely be destroyed when you remove it. They run a couple bucks each at Sears, part # 7000132
  4. This will release the carry over tube holding the burners down and the burners can be lifted out.
  5. Ensure that you clean out the carry over tube when you reassemble. This carries the flame from the first burner across to each of the rest of the burners when lighting them.
  6. Reassemble in the reverse order ensuring that you put the burner tubes over the burner valve tubes when reassembling.
You can find a parts listing with the parts numbers at: http://www.charbroil.com/Parts/80/Performance-Series.aspx

Weber Genesis Gold B Grill Problem

Could be partially clogged burner openings (jets).
Remove the cooking grates and the flavorizer bars. Obtain a BRASS brush (like used to clean white-wall tires) and brush the burner tubes from side to side and up and down along their entire length to remove all corrosion from the jets. Also the cross-over tube.
Before replacing the flavorizer bars and cooking grates, ignite all burner tubes and check to see the flames are all of about equal length and intensity.
If this isn't the problem, check the screens at the right-side ends of the burner tubes to be sure they're not clogged.
If the burner tubes are all clean and some don't ever ignite, the problem could be in the valves/manifold.

Burner Welds

You have your burners misaligned with the tubes. Re-align the burners and the welds will hold up fine.
