My U-line Ice Maker CLR 2160 does not turn on?

get a new filter with carbon,if you can only get a filter for the fridge,then add a whole house carbon filter,they are 30 bucks,without the filter,rinse the system with clr,use a turkey baster to put it in line,then use water to push it through,rinse well,clean ice maker with it too,to get rid of scale and mold,clr is non toxic,just dont get on skin or in eyes

Replace water pump.

CLR will work great, just rinse the ice maker very well after cleaning the calcium deposits and throw out the first few batches or bins of ice produced after the cleaning process. Good luck !

It sounds like you have a drain issue. You can do a test with the unit on open the panel with the board and remove the 2 pink leads and make a jumper for those terminals. If the unit comes on 3 min fill then circulating pump and compressor and fan come on then you know you either have a kink in the drain line or a bad pump. If your unit doesnt have a drain pump then the pink lines could be open and it will turn the unit off too.

Your display will only show ice or off. There is no temperature settings.Now when I give the directions to put it into clean make sure the green led above the symbols is on steady. If you hold down the on/off key and hit the light key 3 times then release the on/off key last.(give a 1/2 second delay from releasing on/off key. It should go to CL. If led lights dont comeon then let me know.

That is normal. You will get that dimple because the grid is shaped that way. You can try adjusting the thickness. Hold the up arrow then press the down arrow 3 times,then release the up arrow last.You should see a number 0-5 or 0 to -5. when that happens use the up arrow to 3 then press the light key. This should take it back to ice on the display. Wait 24 hours and check the ice.

just a guess but did you make sure that the fan under the unit is turning? if you don't get rid of the heat at the condensor the freeze tray can't get cold.

realized that there was nothing wrong with the unit....It is suposed to drain out water when running and need to jump start it...so alls good thanks for getting back to us...now were chilling.E.Bates
