How do I get closed captioning to work on DIsh?

try contacting LG see if there is a backlight if there is that is most likely your problem

If you are hooked up to a cable receiver, the closed caption must be disabled in the cable receiver. With most cable receivers the closed caption must either be on or off and there is not cc button on the remote.
