My samsung ml 2571n print only the first page

I am not familiar with Ubuntu. So in case of windows SMART PANEL/EASY PRINTER MANAGER can be down loaded from samsung web this will show the errors that the machine has.

Try to print a self (demo page) pressing stop s/w a while. If it works check the life of toner cart.

Most likeky when you forced the paper out you may have accidently caught the sensor/trip switch?

this link will guide you to the site with the user guides...but in short ..all ya have to do is to be careful and to open and remove the paper...there are not many things that may be damaged in the process...but there is a certain order you have to follow in doing it ...and a few devices that has unusual safety removing gadgets...

I encountered the same problem. I have several computeres at my home. While others print well, one computer (WinXP) could not. The error message tells me to plug the printer into network, but since other computers print well, this is certainly a mis-leading. I guessed it should be a firewall issue.

I then called Samsung at 1-800-samsung, but the guy over there only keeped saying this was not their printer problem, and I had to contact my firewall software provider and they will walk me through what ports are using the printer. This was not useful at all.

I use ZoneLab as my firewall tool and I then compared the Firewall Program control parts of two computers, where one works and another one doesn't in printing. When I enabled both 'SPanel' and 'Spooler Subsystem' for trusted network, it printed!

I hope this solution is helpful to someone who has the same problem by the same or similar reason.

If you are using Windows Vista, maske sure you download and install updated drivers. Other than that, use a USB rather than parallel port connection and check your antivirus and firewall settings. You can always call Samsung for support at 1-800-samsung.
