I have a problem with a bizhub c451

There could be paper or tape wrapped around the pickup rollers. Also they just may need some cleaning with rubbing alcohol and a Q tip.

This sounds like you have a piece of paper behind tray one.
1. Turn the machine off
2. Take out tray 1
3. Remove paper
4. Insert tray
5. Turn back on


If that doesn't help, you have and issue with the paper pick up motor. This is 99% of the time not the issue. The paper behind the tray is most likely your problem.

First, check your printer properties and make sure you are not telling it to go to the bypass tray.

If you are set to auto tray and its still trying to pull out off bypass tray. Check on the copier to make sure tray 1 isn't set for a special type of paper. If it is, change it to plain paper.

make sure the paper in the trays are the same size as what your sending

what media are you using and what is the weight of the media you are using and does the copier know this and is correctly set

Is the thick 4 11 x 81/2? take the paper off the bypass tray, first send the job to the copier selecting the bypass tray the copier is going to beep telling you replenish paper in the bypass when you place the paper in the bypass make you follow the orientation of the paper on the copier screen.Might also want o replace the bypass tray roller set. If the Plain paper through Thick 3 work then you did not need to replace the main board. Are trying to duplex the paper????? When it jams where does the paper stop??

Hi the machine could be defaulted to print from the main trays if you have the same type paper being fed from the manual feed same size paper then it will automatically take it from the default trays
IF you take the paper out of the trays and put it only in the manual feed will it print and take it from the manual feed also you have to tell the machine when you use the manual feed what size and type of paper is in the manual feed once you tell it what paper and type of paper like card stock you then need to make sure when you go to print that it is set on your computer with manual feed and type of paper must match what is set on machine

The paper may not be feeding straight out of the paper tray due to poor stacking of the paper in the paper cassette. try another paper tray or check the paper in the paper tray for folded over papers usually near the bottom. Also try feeding paper from the hand feed tray on the left side. This uses a different paper path.

your imaging unit is damaged. call minolta guys to have a look it at and change it if neccessary

Have you tried specifying the paper type and weight INSTEAD of the tray. Set the tray properties first, then print. If you leave it on auto tray it will use the tray that matches your paper type and weight.
