First clean the filter on top of the canister, do not wet it, blow it and get all the accumulated dust out. Then check the hoses for obstruction. There should be an emergency valve on the rear part, if it is open, you better ck the hoses.
I found my Everstar near a neighbor's trash. I was going to look for another vacuum cleaner for my third level so I wouldn't have to drag my heavy cleaner up and down the stairs. I was totally and pleasantly surprised at this vaccuum cleaner. It had better suction than my dyson. Granted it is kind of a pain to pull out the dirt from the plastic canister but I got used to it. Then one day it just stopped. I know that when the Dyson stops it means something is stuck or clogged and you have to wait for the motor to cool down for it to start again. Same thing happened to the Everstar. It started again. I took the top part where the filter was and found the filter to be incredibly filthy. I washed it, dryed it and put it back and that was the cause of the problem.
