So I turned on the dehumidifing function of my Portable delonghi PAC125 heatpump, woke up in the morning to see a little red flashing light by the power button (the red light with an ! mark above it). It looks bad. This is a portable aircon that was bought less than a month ago! Is it broken ?
Might just need emptying
Thank you so much! Mine just did this and I emptied it into a cookie sheet. It was clogged with dust! I used a large safety pin that I opened and bent straight, got it pushed up to the head and swirled it around. That cleared up a little mass of dirt/dust and it drained. Plugged it back in and it came right back on!

It's actually "Ft", which means "Full Tank". The instruction manual says to drain the internal safety tank through the drain hoses.
To drain the tank, open the cover on the rear of the appliance.
Pull out the 2 drain hoses, take off the caps, and let all the residual water flow out.
When all the water has been drained, place the caps back on the hoses and put the hoses back inside.
It also says you need to clean the filters and let them dry thoroughly before putting them back.
This is also the procedure for "End of Season Operations."
Hope this helps!

If this is the kind I'm thinking of the condensate tank needs to be emptied of water.

Make sure your filter & the coils (area under the filter) are clean or that the evaporated water is not overfilled by draining it manually by pulling the plug on the lower rear of the unit (into a bucket of course.) I'm hoping you had gotten an answer sooner...

Greetings,
I have the same model air conditioner, and had the same symptoms. As you've probably discovered, Fedders is the company that actually built it, and went of business. No one is supporting it any more.
However, you may be in luck. I fixed the problem by simply tipping the unit almost all the way over on its back (leave a little gap) and letting the water drain out of the hose and the filter. After that, it started right up.
Hope that works for you. Stay cool. :)
