Mite need to have the drum replace and check the charge corona housing above the drum when you pull the drum unit out.. Also check the fuser unit the hot part.
If the drum has an scratch, that's your problem. It grounds and interrupts the process. if you have spare drum replace it. if you haven't, try curing the scratch part with a colorless nail polish, super glue or roll a thin tape on it. only if you don't have spare. it's better to replace new one.
Whenever you ask about any problem please explain in detail. There are couple of reasons behind the above mentioned problem. Its not clear that copies are all black (full black) or just dark in print density? or its giving a dark shade? As per asked question, the solution is Check the followings1-Scanner mirrors are dirty2-Drum is damaged or faulty3-Charging corona 4-LD unit5-Developer
Print an empty word document, and if it still shows the dark lines on the edges the rollers are most likely caked with ink, and they will need to be cleaned.
If it is only causing an image problem when you copy and not when you print, then there is something wrong with the optics under the glass. Check and see if you have any mirrors out of place or if the scanner looks crooked. If you have the machine set up to scan try and scan to SMB or email to see if it still has the problem. If everything looks correct under the glass and scans to SMB and email look bad like the copies, you may have a bad CCD assembly, or a bad board.
Replace controller/ interface board. The next step would be the regulator board. If you must keep resetting the ATDC and receive different values ( assuming that the ATDC is new) then the problem is back. What supplies/ controls the ATDC? The controller, but forgive me if I am wrong, there is a small interface board after the controller that the ATDC is plugged into.
