Miele G575 slow and insufficient water fill

Machine does not fill with sufficient water to wash powder out of dispenser or pump to upper level.

Have increase timer for low presure water in the past which fixed this problem, now reoccurring.

Have also cleaned filter (very little grit present) on water inlet and checked water flow at tap.

If I add a bucket full of water to machine all works fine.

Noise from machine indicate that all is working well, that water is entering machine but not at sufficient flow rate.

  • Anonymous Mar 17, 2008

Yep same problem but the model before this one the G572 - just sounds like the water flow into machine is not at the usual rate and the water level is way down hardly noticable. Seems to trigger after using the Economy setting but not a 100% sure on that. Have extended the timer selector setting as you suggested so will see over the next week or so and report back!

The unit has a double valve system, the waterproof, it could be that one of the valves is not opening fully. They can break down over time. This would mean you need a new one. This should fix the problem.
Open the door once the wash has started and check the water level. It could be that it is siphoning out half way through the wash. Make sure your drain hose is secured up properly.
If when you open the wash and there is not enough water, it is most likely the waterproof, as I stated before.
cheers.

Will a Miele G575 Soap/rinse aid dispenser fit and work in a G664 dishwasher

The Soap/rinse aid dispenser of a Miele G575 is not compatible to be used in a G664 dishwasher. It is important to note that the dispenser is model-specific and not interchangeable between different models of Miele dishwashers. It is recommended to check the manual of your G664 dishwasher or contact Miele customer support to make sure you get the correct dispenser for your appliance.

Miele 2140scu dishwasher Inteke/drain error . The dishwasher fill up the water and works for 10-30 sec , after that drain the water out . Sometimes just fill up the water and drain out right away .

The Level switch is faulty - the purpose is to measure the pressure from the recirc pump - if pressure is insufficient it shuts down the unit. We find that soap deposits are the common cause of the switch failure

Water leaking from detergent drawer

The first thing to do is take note of what the washer is doing when water leaks out in order to help pinpoint the cause. Does it only leak when filling? Is it leaking during wash or rinses? Or is it leaking only when it goes into spin?

Only leaks when filling

  • Water pressure that's too strong. Some dispensers can't cope with high water pressure. Make sure the washer is level as one leaning forward can leak if combined with high water pressure. Try turning the tap on the washer down. Only suspect this if you know the water pressure is high and it looks like it's gushing in quite fast on fill
  • If there is an optional detergent flap fitted in the drawer for holding liquid detergent make sure it is removed or drawn into the up position if using powder otherwise it prevents detergent running down into the drum
  • A build up of grease and slime in the nozzles at the top of the dispenser where the water flows in causing water to spray at the front and run out when filling. Check this article -black jelly-like substance in soap dispenser and on soap drawer (In extreme cases I've had to replace the dispenser.)
  • A build up of undissolved detergent in the base of the soap dispenser under the drawer (depending on the design). Remove the soap drawer and check the bottom of the soap dispenser for a build up of detergent that could allow water to run over the lip of the dispenser
  • Blocked dispenser hose: Some washing machines can flood water out of the soap dispenser if the hose leading out of the dispenser into the tub gets blocked. Blockages can be something put into the drawer by a child or a chunk of undissolved detergent tablet. Indesit, and Candy, as well as some of the later Hoover washing machines suffered from this design flaw. The hose where the water is flushed down, was right at the front of the soap dispenser on these washing machines and it wasn't wide enough. Undissolved powder from a tablet or lumps of detergent through poor water pressure can block this hose solid causing water to back up. Unplug machine, remove lid and feel this hose carefully for obstructions.
  • Overfilling: If the washer starts to fill and never stops it will flood out of the drawer eventually - Washing machine overfills
Leaks out of drawer during the wash or rinse cycle
  • Too many suds? If you can see the door glass is white with foam up to the top it could be foaming out of the dispenser. Too much foam in the washing machine
  • Overfilling: If the washer starts washing but the water doesn't stop coming in it will eventually fill the drum so much it will start to pour out of the soap drawer and other places. If this is the fault you should be able to see the drum is so full of water it's making a different sound, maybe labouring under the load, and the door glass full to the top with water. You should also hear that water is still running into the machine and be able to detect it by opening the drawer. However, in most cases an over filling washing machine should trigger an error code long before it gets to this stage but if you suspect overfilling check this page - Washing machine overfills
  • Surging: There are (often intermittent) faults that can cause the motor to spin out of control on wash or rinses. Instead of turning slowly the fault causes the motor to surge into spin instead which throws the laundry and all the water about violently. Water can then be forced out of the soap dispenser drawer. This fault should be relatively rare these days but if you observe this behaviour call an engineer to diagnose the cause.
Leaks from drawer only when spinning
  • If it only comes out on spin it can be caused by a partial blockage preventing the water being pumped out fast enough resulting in excess water being thrown around on spin and backing up into the dispenser. This fault is similar to the surging fault described in the last list but different in that the problem only occurs when it's on a proper spin cycle and much of the water has been pumped away. Troubleshooting this fault is all about finding out why it isn't emptying the water properly which is usually due to a partial blockage. Follow the same troubleshooting as described for a washer not pumping any water out at all - Washing machine won't empty water
  • If water is being forced out of the drawer when the washer is spinning but it is on wash or rinse and shouldn't be spinning follow the procedure for surging in the previous section above

Suds in rinse cycle

Hi,
There are a couple of reasons why this may happen. You may have accidentally purchased top loader powder instead of front loader powder. Have a look on the side of the box as this is an easy mistake to make which causes excessive suds.
Secondly you may be over filling the dispenser tray. You don't need to put anymore than about 1/3 of a scoop of detergent in despite what the manufacturer suggests on the box. They just want you to use more so you purchase more.
Try flushing out the machine by doing a few empty cycles with no clothes or detergent on 95c with a cup of white vinegar in the detergent dispenser when it goes to fill with water. I recommend you doing this every month anyway to clean out the drum and kill off any bacteria so the door seal doesn't create mould.

Hope this helps.

CI am having a problem getting our Miele G575 dishwasher to run through a wash cycle. It definitely has power, the water is on and there is no water in the bottom of the dishwasher. When you turn the...

You said it does not progress...meaning the dial does not eventually move? it may be waiting on a water level sensor to be tripped. The dishwasher is just not filling. The water valve solenoid may be stuck or defective. or a wire may have come off the valve solenoid.

Upper tray does not wash clean, bottom does

The problem is hard water. There is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system. It filters the water before it enters your dishwasher. It works amazing and has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look after the first load. It is also very affordable (like 70 bucks). Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com to find out more info.

Dishwasher Miele G575

It could be a motor or a pump issue. The dishwasher has a motor that attached to a pump which forces the water up into the sprayer arms and during the drain cycle, it pushes the water out of the dishwasher. The motor (and pump) located beneath the dishwasher. Regarding the screwdriver adjustment- This is the rinse aid dosage adjuster. To obtain the best drying results, use the selector on setting 5. When dishes show spots, set it to a higher setting. Turn lower if dishes are cloudy. Good luck!

Miele G575 Dishwasher

If the water level is not adjusted at the right level
(see Miele G 575 manual page 29),
the flap doesn't open at the right circle,or doesn't open at all.
(Cause of the low water level the machine makes more noise!)
======Now shut down the power for the machine!!!=============
To adjust the water level new,you have to open the shield(2 screws) under the
main door.(enginen compartment).(You don't have to move the machine!)
On the right ,right, right, hand side, there is a 6 cm round beige plastic box.
(the first thing you see to you right and very easy access)
Only one black water hose(about 1cm=1/4inch) and a few wires are going into this box.
This is the water level adjustment box.
In the middle of the beige plastic box is a beige plastic screw
to adjust the water level new.Turning it clock vise ,increasing
the water level.
(For the right water level, see page 29 in your G575 Miele manual)
The water level hasn't to be super price.Just in about and enough.
(It seems that the rubber membrane in the water level unit ages
and therefor it has to be readjusted after a longer time)

Miele G575

This sounds like the overflow trip switch has been activated. Some time back I had this problem with a Miele G664. The service man undid 4 screws on the door and removed front panel and found water in the drip tray, He then checked the pipes, outlet pipe had a pice of plastic bread tag stuck in it , this was slowing down the time it took to empty the water and the next fill made it overflow and switch off the dishwasher. He cleaned out the chanel on the overflow that was full of dust and fluff checked the levels to make sure the dishwasher was sitting true. Closed it all up and ran the dishwasher. Perfect!

Bill $160. It did take him the best part of an hour and I live a long way out of town.
