First be sure you have 240 volts at plug, next take back off and with a multi meter check for continuity, with unit unplugged, all thermostats and thermal fuses. Check for continuity at heater box,2 red wires at heater

Brand new dryer wont heat

depending on which model roper dryer it can be a thermal fuse,high-limit thermostat, cycling switch, burned off wire in control panel, check each side of the heating element to ground and find 125 v.a.c. then on the side of the element that has low or no voltage on it to ground start at the element and back track the components leading to the dead leg on the element till you find 125 vac to ground and replace or repair component or wire, then you should get 240 to 250vac across heating element terminals

Roper dryer model res7648kq0. wont turn on or heat ?

On the back side of the dryer sits the heater and various safety clixons. Any of them that would be OPEN ( no continuity) would be the problem. Here are some repair pictures

Roper Ice maker wont kick ice cubes out of tray.

Remove white plastic cover on ice maker. On bottom you will notice the heater connections, check for voltage. If good, heater is most likely bad.
