How do I graph sinx on my Casio fx-9750GII calculator?

Turn calculator ON
If you see no icons, press Menu
Press 3 (Graph) draw your function. (more on that later).
If the first line of the display show Graph Func : Y= you should be able to draw your function.
If it says anything else, press F3 TYPE to select the graph type and select functional by pressing F1 key Y=.
After the graph type is set to Y=, type the second member of your function y= f(x) on the first line. Make sure the = sign after Y1= remains highlighted after you move cursor. Otherwise select the function by pressing F1:SEL. Press F6 Draw.
Be careful with trigonometric functions. If angle unit is radian, set window Zoom to standard. If angle unit is degree, you must open the Window utility and set Xmin=-190, Xmax = 190 to see at least a period.

Sure it does! Did you ask it to graph? Here are some screen captures to help you find your way.

How do I set the calculator so that I can view several graphs at the same time?

It depends on what you mean by "view several graphs at the same time".
If the graphs use the same/single screen then all you have to do is enter each equation on Yx= line in [Y=] editor. Make sure that each [=] sign after the Yx is highlighted.

If you want graphs drawn side by side on multiple portions of screen, I am afraid that is not possible. All you can do is split the screen horizontally (Horiz in MODE configuration screen) or G-T (graph and Table MODE configuration screen). The Gt-T feature allow you to draw A graph and ITS table) side by side.

How do you fix an MA error when attempting to graph a function? I have even tried to graph simple functions like (X) or (5) and it still says MA error.

A. This is due to a mathematical error such as
  1. dividing by 0,
  2. an illogical operation,
  3. calculations outside the range of a function,
  4. using the exponential function with the [^] key,
  5. logarithm of a negative number,
  6. calculating the factorial of numbers larger that 69,
  7. what have you.
  8. Check the expression of the function you are trying to graph.
B. Reset your calculator and start again: Press the button on the back of the calculator; use a starightened paper clip.Draw the line y=XPress Menu.
  1. Use keys to highlight [GRAPH] and press [EXE].
  2. Make sure the screen that opens says Graph Func Y= at the top.
  3. On the Y1= line enter X (use the [X,theta,T] key under the [ALPHA] key.
  4. Press [F6:Draw].
  5. You should see a staright line passing through the origin (0,0).

Admission to a professional course is subject to the following condition: a) Marks in mathematics > = 60 b) Marks in Physics > = 50 c) Marks in Chemistry > = 40 d) Total in all three subjects >...

So:

X >= 60
Y >= 50
Z >= 40

Take 51 sheets of "graph-paper" (1+200 minus 60 minus 50 minus 40).

On the first sheet of paper, label the graph-title as 'Z=40'.
Label the X-axis from 60 to 200.
Label the Y-axis from 50 to 200.
Draw a straight line from (X=60 and Y=(200-60-40))
to (Y=50 and X=(200-50-40)).

On the second sheet of paper, label the graph-title as 'Z=41'.
Label the X-axis from 60 to 200.
Label the Y-axis from 50 to 200.
Draw a straight line from (X=60 and Y=(200-60-41))
to (Y=50 and X=(200-50-41)).

On the next sheet of paper, label the graph-title as 'Z=42'.
Label the X-axis from 60 to 200.
Label the Y-axis from 50 to 200.
Draw a straight line from (X=60 and Y=(200-60-42))
to (Y=50 and X=(200-50-42)).

On the second sheet of paper, label the graph-title as 'Z=43'.
Label the X-axis from 60 to 200.
Label the Y-axis from 50 to 200.
Draw a straight line from (X=60 and Y=(200-60-43))
to (Y=50 and X=(200-50-43).

Keep going for all 51 sheets of graph-paper.

Stack the 51 sheets on top of each other,
to visualize the "3-D" solution to the problem.

P.S. Don't tell your school-teacher that I helped you do your "homework".

My graphing calculator only allows me to graph one line at a time

Hello,
Once you enter an equation the corresponding equal sign is highlighted by default. Before you draw the 2 graphs, move the cursor to Y3 or Y4 and verify that the = signs for Y1 and Y2 remain highlighted. If one is not highlighted, move the cursor on it and press ENTER.

Once all the = signs for all the functions ypu want to draw are highlighted permanently, press the [GRAPH] key.
Depending on the functions ane the window dimensions certain graphs may not show up and one can Zoom out or adjust the window.

If you still have problem, press [2nd][STATPLOTS][4: PlotsOff] [ENTER]
Command PlotsOff echoes on main screen. Press [ENTER], screen displays Done.

If all else fails, just reset the RAM by pressing [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All RAM][2:Reset], press [CLEAR] to clear the message.
You shouild make it a habit to clear the RAM every time you start a new type of problem.

Hope it helps.
