Cannot enter a variable in a sequence

When entering a sequence, the variable "x" or "n" depending n the mode, show up as "identity" or "logistic" instead of a variable. Resetting defaults did not help. Will try resetting RAM after archeiving all programs but was hoping for a better fix.

The TI-30XA cannot solve algebraic equations. You need a more advanced calculator for that, like the TI-89.

Hoe to auto search without remote control aiwa color television at215

Depending on the model sequences can be slightly different, firstly you must be able to access the "Menu" button on the TV, as well as the arrow and "Enter" buttons. These buttons are typically located on the left side panel of the TV.and may be the buttons for Prog + or - or Volume up or down . Generally speaking the same sequence of buttons you press to scan for channels are identical to those you press when using a remote. Play around with combinations and see what they do but dont dont hit the enter button until your happy that you know what it is doing, write down the sequences and button combinations so yo remember them for next time. Step 1: Press the "Menu" button, press the "Up" and "Down" arrow buttons to highlight "TV" menu and press the "Menu" button again to enter the TV menu.
Step 2: Press the "Up" and "Down" arrow buttons to select "Tuner Mode" and press the "Left" and "Right" arrow buttons to select the frequency band depending whats connected to your TV. (digital box or aerial)
Step 4:Press the "Up" and "Down" arrow buttons to select "Auto Search" and press the "Menu" button to scan for all channels that are available in your area.

Matrix entering and constants

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the HP 10S calculator does not perform matrix calculations.
You have 9 variables A to F, M, X and Y. You can use them to store data, constants, calculation results, and other numerical values.
To store say the value 5674 in Variable A you press the key sequence 5 6 7 4 [SHIFT] [STO] A.
To recall the value stored in A (and use it in another calculation) you press [ALPHA] [A]. It will be displayed and you can do with it any calculation you want.
You can enter (store) data in Statistics modes
  • Mode 2 is for standard deviation SD (1-variable statistics)
  • Mode 3 is for Regressions.
You will have to read the manual starting from page 23.

Please am not knowing how to solve statistics of one and two variables please can you guide me?

TO COMPUTE STANDARD DEVIATION AND 2-VAR STATISTICS.

I assume you know the theory. I will show you the key strokes

For 1-Var statistics
Press [MODE][3:STAT] [1:1-VAR]. You are ready to enter values in the X column.
Enter a number and press [=]. Cursor jumps to second number to enter.
Keep entering numbers and pressing [=] till all numbers are in. Press the [=] key after the last one.
Press [AC] key to clear the screen.
Press [SHIFT] [STAT] (above digit 1.) then [5:Var]. Screen displays the statistical variables 1:n ;2: x bar; 3: x sigma n; 4:x sigma n-1.
Press the number corresponding to the statistical value you want, ex 1:n . The variable appears on screen. Press [=] and it will be displayed.
To display another variable press [SHIFT][STAT][5:Var][ 1,2, 3, or 4] .

To access the sum of squares sigma x^2 and the sum of data sigma x press[SHIFT][STAT][4:SUM] then [1: for sigma x^2] or [2: for sigma x]. Press [SHIFT][STAT][6:MinMax] to access minX and maxX.

For 2-var statistics
To perform 2 variable statistics you press [MODE][3:STAT] and any of the other regression options (except 1:1-Var). A two column template opens where you enter the X and Y values. When finished entering data, press [SHIFT][STAT][5:Var]. to access the different statistics. As I assumed above, you should be able to recognize what each variable means.

How to find derivatives using fx115-es

The syntax of the command is
4aa123f.jpg
where function is the expression you are differentiating
x is the value of variable x at which you are evaluating the derivative, and tol is the tolerance (the error) you are willing to tolerate in the result.

If you do not want to specify a tolerance just omit the last comma and tol.

To enter the command d/dx you use key sequence [SHIFT][Integral]
To enter the symbol x in the expression you press [ALPHA][ ) ]
To enter a comma you use [SHIFT] [ ) ]
To enter a power of 10 in the tolerance use [x10^X] key

Example : Calculate
18c49ac.jpg
The key sequence is as follows
[SHIFT] [Integral] 3 [ALPHA] [ ) ] [X^2] [-] 5 [ALPHA] [ ) ] +2 [SHIFT] [ ) ] 2 [SHIFT] [ ) ] 1 [x10^X] [(-)] 12 ) [=]

DO NOT confuse [SHIFT] [ ) ] which enters the comma and [ALPHA] [ ) ] which enters the variable X

Learning to Graph in my Trig class..

Hello,
I do not quite get what you mean by on (0,2), but I will show you the basic steps to graph functions of the type y=f(x).
I will illustrate it with the key sequences on my HP48G.

A. Angle UNIT
  1. Since you want to draw the trigonometric functions, you must make sure the angle unit is appropriate. (I will use radians)
  2. Press [Right Shift, cyan key] [MODES], use down arrow key to highlight the Angle measure. If angle unit is the correct one, press the [F:OK] key.
  3. If it is not, press the [B:Choose] menu item and select the correct angle unit from the list and press [F:OK], and OK again to exit the MODES screen.
B. ENTER FUNCTION

  1. Press the [Right Shift, cyan key][8] to access (PLOT).The function entry screen opens and you can verify that the angle unit is the correct one.
  2. The function entry line EQ is highlighted.
  3. If equations are available in working directory you can use the [B:Choose] menu item. If you want, you can [A:Edit] the equation highlighted, or just enter a new one.
  4. Press [EDIT]. The expression is pasted on the EDIT line, just above the menu bar. Pay attention to the two single quotes, do not erase any of them. If you do you will have to enter again the one erased.
  5. When you finish editing or entering the expression for the function press [F:OK]
  6. Make sure that the dummy variable inside the function is identical to the independent variable highlighted on the third line. Usually it is Capital X, but in some library functions the variable is non-capital x. The two must be the same.
WINDOW
  1. Once the independent variable is chosen, use the right arrow key to set the H-View (horizontal dimension of the window). If you want to edit the left x limit press [A:Edit].
  2. Accept or edit the window dimensions.
  3. You may want to check the AUTOSCALE option. Use arrow to highlight the field left of Autoscale, and press [C:CHK] to put a check mark.
DRAW
To draw the function press [F:Draw] Menu. Wait for the function to be drawn.

Other functionalities are available for the drawn function, but I will not describe them. Remember, you just wanted to get started.

Hope this will help you get started.
