When entering a sequence, the variable "x" or "n" depending n the mode, show up as "identity" or "logistic" instead of a variable. Resetting defaults did not help. Will try resetting RAM after archeiving all programs but was hoping for a better fix.
To graph a sequence, you must set the Graph Mode to Seq.
On line Func, use the right arrow to highlight Seq. this way when you press the key X, T, Theta, n you enter the variable n
Make sure you turn off the StatPlots. Press [2nd][Y] (StatPlot), then select [4:PlotsOff]. See the screen capturCannot enter a variable in a sequence - 47d24618-1ac3-41da-b5ca-c8f27115c34d.png8-1ac3-41da-b5ca-c8f27115c34d.png" alt="47d24618-1ac3-41da-b5ca-c8f27115c34d.png" class="h_mi" />

The TI-30XA cannot solve algebraic equations. You need a more advanced calculator for that, like the TI-89.
