If you go here you can download everything you need. You have to understand Zenith is a subsidiary of LG Electronics. http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-DTT900#. I have the manual but there is no way to attach it here .
Since Insignia and LG share compatible codes for digital-to-analog converters, review your remote control's manual for LG VCR codes as they should work to control the Insignia converter.
1) While pressing & holding down the TV POWER button, press CHANNEL UP or CHANNEL DOWN repeatedly until your TV is turned on or off.
2) Release the TV POWER button when your TV is turned on or off.
*Each press of the channel button sends a manufacturer code (1-45) to your TV, one after the other.
Note: You may have to do this every time you change or remove the battery, as the remote will reset itself to the default code.
Pls post back with the brand and model of the universal (replacement) Remote Control or what remote control you would want to use with the Zenith DTT900 Digital-to-Analog Converter Box.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
Can't go through the VCR in the normal way. The DTV box must be tuned to the channel you want to record and left there. Cannot tell VCR to tape one channel and watch another nor tape multiple timed and multiple channel shows unless the DTV is tuned to that specific channel. This makes most VSR functions useless.
