THe water was turned off to the washer, error code H, we've unplugged it (before pressing cancel twice) and now after it's had a 1/2 hour time-out, when we plug it back in (water now on) the washer runs, doesn't let us clear the display and the door is locked

washer weary, You need to clean the filter on the pump. Remove the bottom panel and the filter will be right in front. 3 #11 torx screws it will pull down and off. Get yourself a bucket to catch the excess water. Unscrew the filter and clean it. Check to see that nothing is in the impeller. The F02 should go away..Catriver.

SOURCE: Received an error code dl f on my Kenmore Elite

The "Fdl" error code indicates a problem with the door latch assembly. The clicking sound you hear is the door latch attempting to latch. If it fails to latch, the wash cycle will not start and the error code and audible beep will occur. There should be a tech sheet inside the washer. It's usually located behind the bottom panel under the door, or along the inside of the casing on either the left or right hand side. The tech sheet will have a list of error codes, procedures on how to perform diagnostics, and troubleshooting hints. It's strongly recommended that you leave the tech sheet inside the washer, so you don't lose it.
Repairclinic.com carries the door latch for about $50 and is listed as item number 1094190.

Searspartsdirect carries it for slightly less for about $43 and lists it under the "Door and Latch Parts" as item number 7 (part #8181700).

If you go to my profile and click on "Tips and Tricks" I have a posting there on how to change the door latch on a front loader. It's a very simple repair that any Do-It-Yourselfer can accomplish.

If you can't find the instructions you need, or need further assistance, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

I have code fh

Hey Lukec,

The FH error code on your Kenmore Elite washer indicats that there is a problem with in-coming water flow. When the water feeding the washer is less than what it should be, the FH code will trigger and the washer will shut down.

You can check a couple of common problems that can manifest this error code after resetting the machine. Steps for reset and diagnostics can be found below.

  1. Using the "Pause/Cancel" button on the washer control panel (this button will be below the digital time clock, to the lower right of the wash cycle selector) by pressing the "Pause/Cancel" button twice to cancel the wash cycle.
  2. Next, unplug the washer from the wall socket (this will reset the error code).
  3. Several things you can do to troubleshoot the follow issue are these:

Check for kinks in the water supply hose.

Turn off the water supply (hot and cold) and remove the hoses from the back of the washer. Check the port screens at the hose connections for sediment buildup and clean as necessary.
  4. Reconnect the water supply hoses to the washer and turn on the water supply.
  5. Plug the washer cord back into the wall outlet.Select the wash cycle and press the "Start" button.
If the error code returns, you will likely have internal water flow issues due to the pump or other internal problems which may require a service technician.

Hope this helps.

Error code f 21, what does this mean?

The error code F-21 refers to Long Drain. The washer has sensed that it has not drained out completely and cannot go into further cycle.

If yours is a HE 2 washer, afer few minutes, Sd error will be displayed and then after couple of minutes F21 error code will appear. Water valves will be turned off and stops running.

If yours is a HE front load, when drain time exceeds 8 min, F21 error will be displayed. The water valves will be shut off and pump will stop running.

Generally, by re-storing the power to washer, it may fix the problem.
You may press the pause or the cancel button twice to clear the display.
You may have to double check the drain hose to see if there are any kink, clogs.

Also, you may unplug your washer, turn the circuit breaker off for 1-2 minutes and then plug it back in to check if it works. After this, check to see if the washer drains.
