have exactly the same problem, it used to do it now and again but now it wont work at all! my machine is 3 years old but i have only used it for 1 year. i had an engineer out in the first six months, he was no use as he told me it was my fault because i was overloading the machine, which was a load of rubbish! i may as well buy a new one as its going to cost to much to repair.not an indesit tho!!!!!!

call out the scrap man mines doing the same, piece of crap.

  • Anonymous Jun 11, 2008

My Wil 103 has the same problem with lights 2 and 4 flashing. An engineer diagnosed the fault as a main board error and therefore not ecconomical to repair. Machine was 18 months old and used once a week only. Last Indesit product I will ever buy!

You will need to unplug the machine at the mains, give it two minutes and the auto door lock will release your duvet, however start saving the pennies as your pcb is knackered and you'll be looking at about £200 to fix it

You will find a broken bra wire rusty bits some coins etc inside the pump many people overlook to take the pump out the machine check for corrosion as the cruddy plastics their housings are made of crack when such items end up in the pump its fine to take them out but at least inspect the pump motor and housing for signs of damage that allow small amouts of water like spin cycle that are under more preasure the chance to enter the pump motor side and in a sly way

you can get to a state where you use the machine once a week it will do a full cycle if you dont catch this prob in time it wipes out the pump triac on the controller board easy to fix either way

but check out your pump fully and clear all errors after fixing the problem, by resetting the machines some what with most stupid brain

with no exception handeling at all most machines give no real indication of the actual fault . and guide you to this and that

I have a delta touch faucet and the blue led light stopped working. The red is still lighting and the touch feature is working properly. How can I fix the blue led light?

  • Solid Blue - Normal operation, "Touch" mode is activated.
  • Flashing Blue - Normal operation, the hands-free mode is activated.
  • Solid Red - Warning mode - Replace batteries as soon as possible. While the water is running Solid Red LED is illuminated. When the water is off, the Red LED flashes once every 5 seconds. The faucet operates normally, solenoid valve is open.
  • Rapid Flash Red - Alert Mode - Battery Failure Imminent. The Red LED flashes once a second. The first time the faucet is used, the Red LED will turn ON, the solenoid valve will be opened and remain open. The manual valve must be used until the batteries are replaced.
  • Solid Red - Lockdown Mode - Replace Batteries. Extremely Low Batteries - The RED LED is ON, and water will not flow. The solenoid valve is closed and faucet will not operate until batteries are replaced.
  • Long Flash Red (2 seconds on / 2 seconds off) - Board error, replace electronics kit, RP53230 See manual bypass of electronics section of Installation instructions.

Forgot the combination to the lock. Is there a way to retrieve the combination or return it to its factory default combination 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

The instructions below are copied from the programming instructions (page 11):

ERASE ALL PROGRAMMING
(The "out of box" factory default will be restored)
1. At the back of the lock, remove the screw at the bottom of
the lock housing and remove the cover.
2. Take out the battery pack and remove battery power by disconnecting
the battery pack.
3. Plug in the (provided) male shunt connector into the yellow
wire female connector.
4. With shunt connector connected, re-connect the battery
pack. The lock will immediately sound 3 short beeps (if
these 3 beeps are not heard, then restart at step 2).
5. The lock will then sound more slow beeps, 1 beep for every
second it takes to clear the memory.
6. After a few more seconds, the LED will slowly alternate between
flashing red and green--disconnect the yellow wire
shunt connector.
7. The LED will continue to slowly flash green and red for 25
seconds. To enroll Function Cards, proceed immediately
as follows:
• With the lock LED slowly alternating between flashing
red and green, present the Function Card #1
to the lock. The lock will sound 5 slow beeps.
• The lock LED will flash green rapidly. The lock is
ready to enroll the Function Cards.
• Re-present Function Card #1 to the lock. The
lock LED will flash green then red, with two beeps
(indicating the card was enrolled successfully).
• Present Function Card #2 to the lock. Again, the
lock LED will flash green then red, with two beeps.
• Continue to present, in order, Function Cards 3-
9. Each time a new Function Card is presented, the
lock LED will flash green then red, with two beeps.
After the 9th Function card is presented, the lock LED will flash
green twice, sound two beeps, and will then remain silent,
ready for use. Note: If the lock continues to beep after presenting
the 9th Function Card, check to verify that the yellow
wire shunt is disconnected.
Note: If you only wish to use the first 3 Function Cards, simply
allow the lock to "time out" after 30 seconds.

Here is the link to the complete instructions, in PDF form. You will need Adobe Acrobat or equivalent to view them:

Good luck-and please provide feedback if this helps!

Machine stopped mid cycle and green light flashing under green start button

Many modern washing machines display error codes if they detect a fault, but not all washing machines display a readable error code, some indicate an error by flashing, or lighting some of the lights.

Hotpoint, Indesit, Zanussi error codes

Hotpoint, Indesit washing machines and Zanussi washing machines are some common appliances that display coded error codes. On their more expensive models, they display readable error codes but basic models (without digital displays) use flashing lights to convey the error fault code.

If your washing machine malfunctions and you can see some of the lights flashing, or one or more option lights have lit up, then make a note of which lights are flashing and which option lights are lit. NOTE: the error code list engineers have only shows the option lights by number and not by name. Therefore you need to report the lights as LED 1 and 3, or 2 and 4 etc. and NOT "delay timer" and "extra rinse". Count the lights from the left (or from the top if in a column) and report as "led 1 and 3" etc.

No Option lights?

With basic washing machines that have no option indicator lights, count the number of flashes. For example, the door locked indicator may flash 7 times, pause, and flash another 7 times in a constant cycle which would indicate error code 7.

This information is vital, and needs mentioning when reporting a fault.
