If the defrost is not working then ice could be forming inside the unit. If that's the case then it will get worse as more ice forms and the unit eventually wont cool or will cool very little. Sometimes a panel or the fan blade isn't adjusted right and it hits something making noises. In the case you would have to pull the covers off inside the freezer .

Your pressure washer is either not fitted with a run/stop device in which case like mine you have to switch off within a few seconds of closing the trigger. Check your model features?
The humming noise is the motor stalled out against the pump because there is nowhere for the water to go. The shutoff is caused by the safety overload switching off after overheat.
Or, it has a pressure operated run/stop which is not working. Because water and electricity don't mix, I would suggest getting more specific help. You can download Karcher manuals /spares lists online from Karcher specialists but remember electricity is the silent killer.

The compressor is not starting. The buzzing noise you hear is the compressor trying to start and then the thermal overload trips. When it cools it will try to start again. Could be a bad capacitor or the compressor is bad. These two units need to be tested to see which one is bad. A capacitor is inexpensive. If it's the compressor it will be cheaper to buy a new AC.

Since I could get no one to tell me about new freezer compressor making buzzing noise while on, I had the store come a pick it up and give me my money back.

hello sbarrry2 it sound like the motor that is running continously is the condenseer fan and the buzzing and then the click would be the compressor trying to start up and going off on overlaod. shut the unit off at the swiutch, let it cool down (3) hours possibly and then try to turn it back on. this should work. I have a GE counter top microwave oven. When the oven starts cooking (the magnetron turns on) the oven makes a harsh buzzing noise. What is wrong and what should be done?
