Firefox flash and plug ins will not load

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "download flash player" (without the quotes). Look for the adobe site where it says "Get Flash Player" and the site is: get.adobe.com/flashplayer Download and install in.

When it finishes go to google.com again and this time in the search box type: "download shockwave" (without the quotes). Download Adobe Shock Wave Player from the site get.adobe.com/shockwave

When it finishes close your browser then open mozilla again and when it comes up go to site www.youtube.com If it tells you to do a flash plugin now, just click the link to download and install it.

I'm curious what version of Firefox are you using? In your Firefox browser click HELP at the top then select About Firefox. It will tell you the version you are on. If you're not on version 11, download in install Firefox. It will automatically upgrade your current version without losing any of your settings, bookmarks, etc.

When i try to watch a video on youtube where the video plays turns green and it causes flash player to turn off how do i fix this

Update of Flash player can help. If you use IExplorer, you can try with Mozilla Firefox browser, because flash plugin is little different in coding. If you can not see in real time video, you can download from YouTube to computer and than you can play (I suggest VLC player). You can download with installing DownloadHelper plugin in Firefox. It will add icon with rotating points with some arrow. You just click on arrow and you have list of videos for downloading. FLV is for flash, and MPG for MPEG video coding (the same video is in different quality). Sometimes your problem can be with directx. Try to update it too.

I'm running Windows XP. Using IE8, the youtube videos won't play. There is no warning or anything, just the video is black and there is no play button. On Google chrome, there is no problem with playing...

Well Sunkengarden, the videos you are watching on YouTube or any such websites are the Flash Player Applications. That means, the Browser on which you are trying watch the videos, needs Flash Player Application to be installed on your computer. Such traditionally most widely used flash players are Adobe Flash Player and Microsoft Silverlight.
While you are using Google Chrome, there is no problem just because of Google Chrome already have in-built flash player within it. But the problem remains for IE or other Browsers.
Different Web-Browsers use different types of Adobe Flash Players (IE type or Non-IE type). So, for best results, I recommend you to install both the IE and Non-IE Adobe Flash Players on your computer to have all the browsers play the videos without any problem.
Download the Flash Players by clicking on the following links:
Hope this helps,

Is your flash player up to date? Because you have to install different flash-players for i.e. IE and Firefox, please go to your system's settings an deinstall the current flash player.

Afterwards download the installation package from http://get.adobe.com/de/flashplayer/ and try it again.

Does Youtube tell you that you need Flash Player or give you some kind of other error? What browser are you using? Internet Explorer or something else?
I would just go to adobe.com and click on the Flash Player logo and download it again. Make sure it installs successfully. Then go to Youtube and test.

Hope this helps! If so please leave a rating!
