I can not hear anything with the Philips SAA7130 TV Tuner/FM Radio/Video PCI Capture Card with remote desktop. I have tried everything. Is it possible? I have tried bring the sound to this desktop and everything, but nothing seems to work.

I had the same problem with this plugged into my onboard realtec HD 7.1 sound card. I ended up fixing this by enabling all the audio settings (line in,s/pdif in, and even individual speakers). After doing that I had all sorts of volume controls. After tinkering around I discovered that for some reason the volume on the front left and front right was all the way down(not muted), and after turning them up I had sound. I don't know why that mattered but it did. Hope this helps.
P.S. For some reason with that onboard sound card I could watch live t.v. and hear it, but when I record it would have video but no audio. After looking at the advanced volume controls in my onboard sound I noticed that all the individual volume settings(line in,mic,etc.) were greyed out and not accesible, but the main volume was accesible. I fixed this by plugging in my old sound card and everything was fine. And yeas everything was plugged in right. Hope this helps

Have you checked the installation? - most PCI capture cards use the audio card of the PC for sound. A jumper cord is needed to come out the capture card and into the audio line-in jack. Green jack on the capture card is OUT, and the Blue jack on the sound card is Line IN.

What I did is to connect the sound to external receiver and it work I can hear now, so if you want to work connect to external speaker not to in line from the cpu sound card.
when i capture a clip there is only video no audio.why.i can here sound while the TV goes on.please help.

I have the same problem , NO SOUND it will play sound during the recording but no play-back, but I also noticed that the sound option on the software is greyed out which I assume means the software supplied is not right or the card is junk, seeing all the same problems I would say the drivers are not correct for this card anyone know where to get updated drivers for this?

sometimes these cards just need to be unplugged , computer restart , shut down , plug it in and walla! it works again! as long as you have the drivers (which sometimes have to be reinstalled) this procedure could help your card, if absolutely your card will not work its broke and unrepairable.
