After a thunderstorm my 32" LCD does not have any colour. It is connected to a Dstv dual view decoder. The decoder lost the signal and did a re-scan. Tv1 now has no colour but Tv2 does. Another tv connected in place of Tv1 works perfectly.

Check the TV Standard
UK = PAL (i,c,etc)
USA = NTSC
Etc
You should check both the TV & your decoder box.

SOURCE: Television cannot find channels in

It sounds like the Dish receiver is having a problem. Have you tried calling Dish to see if they can reset the signal to the receiver (the Dish box attached to the TV...)? If they do that and it still has problems they should replace the Dish Receiver at no cost to you.. That should resolve the issue.

Thanks, let me know if you have any questions or concerns, just reply to my answer here and I will be right back with you.

Condere 32 inch television. How to connect DSTV on it, as I can't find AV.

Question edited for clarity.

It depends on the model of your television and how old it is?

The DSTV Decoder is connected via a HDMI Cable and you select that HDMI socket using the remote button, listed as Source or Input.

I have bought the old decoder and need to set up the satellite dish. I had signal for approx one minute, then lost it. What is the angles in azimuth and height to set up the dish?

The angle and azimuth depend on the position of the satellite. Contact any technician. Gopakumar Gopalan Google
It is not easy to predict the exact angle and azimuth. You should have a signal meter to proceed.

Need to connect my DSTV decoder through my sony amplifier (5.1) not sure of a the cabling or the connections, does someone perhaps ahve a wiring diagram to connect TV, dstv decoder and sony 5.1 amplifier?...

well this is easier than you think, get yourself a set of RCA's (the red and white and yellow cables that DVD players come with) look behind your decoder and place them colour to colour, then behind your Amp you will read (TV IN) do the same, then with just one yellow RCA plug it into (monitor) that one will then go to the (AV input) behind your TV.. And presto!!! now set your amp input on the remote to TV and your off!! good luck
